Re: KJ faces a grinder\'s flop

I think this flop is a raise or fold situation. Raising here makes half the field face 3-cold, and two more face 2-cold. This is the wrong place to wait for the turn to protect your hand.

I think...

Re: 99 HU

To me, this is a straight meta-game situation - it almost doesn't matter what cards are being played. We know his numbers, we've seen him bluff before, and now he's pulling a move that represents a...

Re: 6-max, K4s from BB

noone gave me any real resistance on the flop. I might well have the best hand

I don't think it's that you have the best hand, I think it's that you're representing a...

Re: A hand for discussion

The only way I can see to justify this play is against someone who never folds - he plays 100% of his hands, and sees a showdown every hand - and only because MP3 didn't tag along.

Re: Preflop Quiz

1: Depends on the blinds. If I think they'll both fold, I'll raise here (and I want an A-high flop), otherwise fold - A7o is a shitty multiway hand.

2: With no reads on CO or Button, I'm inclined...

Re: POLL: Play the board\'s straight?

You've got no money in this pot aside from your blind. And the best case scenario is that UTG is a complete donk and folds so the split is two ways instead of three. Plus, if it splits three ways,...

Re: JJ on Ace high flop and turn brings a second overcard vs. two.

I don't like this fold at all.

When MP3 takes the free card, I put him on a draw and expect him to fold this river. BB could be betting out with second pair thinking he's good here, since you've...

Re: Eudaimonia plays like a twit

Hand 1: Looks good. He's almost all-in, and a lot of hands are going to like this board. I'm not giving him credit for the nut flush until he shows it.

Hand 2: This is my least favorite. First,...

anyone advocating a flop fold is out of their mind

As I think I'm the only one to actively advocate folding this flop, I'll take that as a challenge.

If this flop is...

Re: Alright, I\'m posting all my AK hands, I\'m even going to make some

I agree with him.

If it was checked to you, a bet on this flop into four people would be marginal at best. Once SB leads into you it's raise or fold time - you don't have odds to call behind.

Re: Three 1/2 6-max hands

Hand 1: I'd check both flop and turn. Might call the flop if they're both in. I'd fold to a bet on the turn. Not saying that's right or anything, but I hate playing bottom pair. The way you played...

Re: Do you think limp-reraising is good in any conceivable situation?

I can see the logic of l/rr with AA here. The rocks will call 2-cold with hands you dominate, but probably won't call 3-cold.

But doesn't it make more sense to raise with the hands in that second...

I agree, Swiss Draw would be cool, if simply because we all get to play more matches, which is part of the point of this. But like I asked - how long is that going to take? If it's still going on...

The Swiss Draw thing sounds complicated and time consuming. How long will it take to play all those matches? And how much time and effort will the organisers/administrators have to put in? You seem...

I posted this before, but I don't think anybody saw it. Maybe it'll help.

I prefer the term 'friend'. As in: my friend bluffed the turn with bottom pair; or my friend called me down with 9-high.

Hand 1: Tricky sh!t. If no club falls on the river, he'll probably cap. Watch out for a K though.

Hand 2: Is Hero trying to improve his PF aggression stats? Or are the limpers all 40/1 fish?

2: I play it the same. Too bad he didn't fold the river like he was supposed to.

3: You're more likely to be behind on the flop than the turn. If he...
