Re: I throw myself before the SS court
I would figure the button to probably have an A-10 or 2 pair. When the last K came, I would figure A-10 more.
That's what I hate about that connector, one of your out sequences - the 9-K straight...

Re: AA with flush flop
I like the idea of not assuming he has flopped a flush or a straight, but it turns out he did here (flush). So if I 3 bet and he 4 bets - then what?

AA with flush flop
I get
A /images/graemlins/spade.gifA /images/graemlins/club.gif in MP
I raise PF - results in all remaing folding except 1 player in LP. So 2 to the flop.
Flop is 2 ...

Re: AA
I'd say it's a huge mistake not to raise AA pre-flop. Getting people out is good and if you learn that (say) 3 players call you cold, they must have something good - which is good info. And if they...

Re: How Bad?
OK, thanks for the responses.
Maybe the fact that I won so much over the weekend could have affected my play now. Then, I was hitting so much on the river and turn that I might have been biased...

How Bad?
How bad a streak can you get on just due to bad luck? Is there a rule of thumb like if you lose more than 50 or 100 BB you might be playing badly and that it's not just bad luck.
I am taking a...

Re: Hitting the Middle Pair
Good point there on the river. I like that.
I just thought there was a good chance he had TT or a JJ with a weak kicker (pretty common at Party), so I was betting for value.
The more I think...

Hitting the Middle Pair
This situation is killing me lately.
I have like A /images/graemlins/spade.gif J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Just 4 callers with me UTG.
The flop is like K /images/graemlins/spade.gif J...

Re: Do I Need To Be Fitted For A Skirt?
My take is the BB probably re-raises with the K on the turn if he has KJ....
The hand you have to consider that you wouldn't with top players is someone hanging on to A-2 even through all the...

Re: checking river -EV?
That "infininte pot" example makes all your bets relatively free, so I don't think it's a good analogy. I would bet every time in that case.
Plus, there was no re-raising there. Here, the reason...

lol, okay - ignore the post if it's that's much trouble understanding it - it's not that big of a deal.

Re: Monster Pot
OK......you would like a fold or raise?
I know there are at least 2 guys betting heavily on a potential draw. I know the players well enough that a raise at this point - and this pot - is not...

Re: AKs 2/4
[ QUOTE ]
You should bet the river. You are out of position... so when you check, you let him know that he can bet his club for value. So you lose a bet anyway if your hand is no good. On the other...

With that many callers, you have to think you're beat with the J on the turn right?

Monster Pot
$1/$2 at Party
Loose, aggressive, borderline maniacal.....
Ends up in a 52 BB pot.
At what point should Player F ( /images/graemlins/cool.gif ) have folded his KK? How about raising the...

Re: This refers primarily to
I had QQ (vs AK) and KK (vs TT).
I had position and called every time. If had AA, I think I would call all the way and raise the river to max out the pot.
I would just be wary of folding a...

Re: Flop thoughts
I actually think the play makes sense. The caller on the flop is the wildcard, so you could probably make your effective outs scaled down to 6 outs maybe to account for the chance another A is not...

Re: Results
If it's a loose game and people come iin with crap hands, they probably just bet on the PF because some players automatically go from 2 bets to 4 because they are bad players. So give them an excuse...

Re: 2 Callers and a Raise on the River

Can you explain why you think AKo is a strong enough hand to 4-bet with pre-flop but isn't a strong enough hand to raise a K,7,6 flop?

Not really.
I would...

Re: 2 Callers and a Raise on the River
OK, I'll see if I can remember that next time.
Yes, I realize the details of the PF action matters. I already had both of them at good chances to have the goods - before the flush potential hit....
