Re: Top pair with paired board
I don't like the flop bet. You have a hand that is on the high end of marginal, and you should be looking to protect it. You should check and plan on a) calling a bet from your left or b) raising a...

Re: call or raise this river?
grunching...
I'd raise the river. You'll lose to the flush occasionally, but much more often BB has made a set, Aces up or just paired his A. I'm not too worried about missing CO's overcall,...

Re: QQ check/raised on turn What do you do?
I'd call the turn raise and reevaluate based on the river card. MP3 could have a made hand, or just a pair and some strong draws. Unless the river is a total blank, I'd probably check/call.

Re: River aggression
Flop and turn are good. The river bluff is ok because you're probably beat, but your continual aggression may fold low pairs. Without reads, you should fold to the raise. Is he bluff-raising with...

Re: Small Blind Hand
You should bet the turn. The flush draw adds a lot of equity to your hand, plus there's the possibility of MP2 raising, trapping UTG for extra bets.
The river bet is good. You'd call one bet...

Re: Pocket Aces, board scary, lots of action
I don't like the flop fold. You're right that you're way behind, but you have some long-shot outs to a full house and the pot is offering 22.5 to 1. I make this call, and plan to fold on the turn...

Re: bet da river?
I like the turn bet, and I think you have to take the free showdown. A 9 may fold, but in general, you will only be called by hands that beat you.

Okay so you bet out, MP1 raises and everyone else folds. Now what?

Re: KQs in a large pot
Raise this preflop. KQs will win far more than it's fair share of pots and with loose players who will cold-call, this is an easy raise.
I'm torn about the flop, I think it's either a fold or a...

Re: Did I play my poket 8\'s wrong?

River raise doesn't make sense. I am very interested in the turn raise. Lots of people seem to think its a good play. I don't quite get it. Is a call bad? Pot is pretty big so fold is not...

Re: AJo flops TP.
You need to bet the flop for protection. You have a strong hand in a large pot but are very vulnerable to draws. With the preflop 3-better on your immediate left, you should bet the flop and expect...

Re: I know I\'m beat but I\'m still raising
[ QUOTE ]
Well that's what I've been reading all over. If you hit a set put as much money in the pot as you can. If you don't lose a lot of money with your set, you're not playing it correctly....

Re: I know I\'m beat but I\'m still raising
I think you played this right. The straight was a backdoor, making it somewhat less likely. I think you're up against two pair or a lower set too often not to cap the river. Especially with SB...

Re: TT against a rock
Why did you slow down on the turn? I don't like the free card play here because you have so few outs, but are reasonably likely to still have the best hand. The flop raise is for protection in this...

Grunching ... These hands are always tricky and I'm almost always unclear if I'm playing them right. There are a lot of variables here, and reads would help tremendously.

Re: River
I think you need to lead out and bet. A check-raise is possible, but I think you'll be missing out on at least one bet that way, if not two, and having this checked through would be a disaster. It...

Re: Did I play my poket 8\'s wrong?
I like all streets except the river - I'd just call him down. He's only folding something you beat, and, as you saw, getting reraised sucks. Good aggression on the turn, although I think your read...

Re: What\'s your river move?
I don't like the turn call. UTG probably has a Q and you are very far beind with only the 2 outs for your boat. I'd bet out and fold to a raise.
Given your reads, I'd be very tempted to go for a...

Re: weak tight with AT?
Being out of position sucks. But I still think you should 3-bet the flop. Just because you see a little aggression doesn't mean you're automatically beat - that's weak/tight thinking. TPGK is a...

I hate situations like this, because my instinct is to bluff this everytime. I always think I can represent the 2 and get everyone to fold. My experience and pokertracker have informed me that I'm...
