Re: Who gonna call you?

" LOL!! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif "

So I'm assuming you mean that A6 and 78 are common calling hands here /images/graemlins/smile.gif or where you just laughing at me? ...

Re: Since we\'re talking about mid-PPs, from last night.....

Villain has AK or QQ and I don't think he will pay off with AK, all he can beat is...eh, nothing. Some people just can't lay ace high down though even when there is really no way he can have the best...

Re: Who gonna call you?

I agree with most of what you said. I donīt think you can fold because the pot is to big and I think you will have the best hand here a good enough % of the time assuming UTG and UTG+1 are loose...

Re: Are you good enough to make these laydowns?

I would even fold KK after someone opened I reraised and he then moves in and we are both pretty deep. That is I should lay down KK in those situations cause every time the guy has AA. QQ should be...

Re: Looking for tips to improve my game

Hi,

First I want to ask you what your bankroll is? Itīs very hard to play correctly if you are worried about losing your buy-in. Remember you play poker for the long run not to make a score today,...

Re: Interesting comment made by Tanenbaum...

Iīm not sure but I think he was talking about players who bluffs too much, overplays hands etc you can throw away marginal hands and wait for a big hand to call these players down and still make a...

Re: AKo in SB hits nothing

I don't necceseraly think that reraising preflop is bad, cutoff has shown weakness by just limping after the poster, buttons min raise doesn't look like a very strong hand either,I think he has...

Re: good call or bad call? top pair top kicker hand

I would call, he could have top pair putting you on the flush draw he could even be bluffing. If you are beat by trip 7's you got 10 outs if he has a straight you have 13 outs if he has an overpair...

Re: I chicken out on the river

The read on the players was that she is weak but not a calling station so I'm guessing she would have folded a T by now and even if she wouldn't she would probably fold now that the flush got there....

Re: One valuable idea

IMO when to play and when not to play is one of the most important decisions to make when playing poker.

Don't play when your are tired, drunk, upset etc, you might think you are playing well but...

Re: Who calls here?

I think your opponent had 2 pair or a set on the flop and filled up on the turn or even the river if he had K3 or maybe he made a straight with 5h6h, Ah5h.
Itīs also possible he is being tricky and...

Re: Dumping KK on a rag flop

I would put MP on AA or maybe KK,QQ and I would think the button has JJ-AA as well. It would help if you had a read though since I have seen some crazy sh!t when I have played. I wouldn't be shocked...

Re: Too Aggresive?

I don't think you overplayed it. Sure he could have JT or a set but he could also have A9, A8, 8h9h or even AK and you are getting 2,5:1 on your money. I don't really think you can get away from this...

Re: How come I cant pull the trigger on the river?

When I flop a flush and someone bets into me I usually raise. This is how I might play with the Kc an Ace or set so it will be harder to put me on the flush and if my opponent has a hand like a set 2...

Re: Party 600 NL AK hand

Checking might be passive but if you don't have the best and can't bluff...

Re: Party 600 NL AK hand

So opponent could have AQ, 55, KJs, JTs, KQs, what about KTs? You are about a 3:1 dog to have the best hand and you won't win any more money when you do so checking looks right to me.

So do you...

Re: Set on drawing board- What to do

I will usually bet the pot from early position. I like this better than check-raising because I feel that check-raising gives away the strength of your hand. Often when you bet your opponent will put...

Re: results

I think you are giving away too much information overbetting the flop, if you had AQo or 99 here would you really bet 15$ or will you only do it when you have TPTK or better?

I don't understand...

Re: How do you play this?

Thank you for your advice.
I pushed in and villain took my stack with J9 for the straight.

Maybe the push on the turn wasn't really a mistake even though it felt like a big one at the time. ...

How do you play this?

Shorthanded .5-1$ blinds.

Folded to cutoff who limps, he is a loose agressive player who likes to bluff alot.

I have KcQd on button, I would usually raise here but I decide to limp in mainly...

Re: What mistakes did I make here?

I raise or fold preflop completely depending on UTG, Itīs usually a raise unless he is very tight-passive.

I play it the same on flop.

I donīt think you can give up for 1 bet on the turn, if he...

Re: Live hand #2: Turned top two pair

"Who folds to min-raises?"

Yea I wasnīt thinking straight. raise is to small to get anything to fold and you donīt want QJ etc to fold.
You obviusly donīt want to push him out if heīs got a weak...

Re: Live hand #2: Turned top two pair

My point was that he wouldnīt call a turn check-raise with anything you could beat, so it would be safe to check-fold the river. The reason you raise is to protect against being bluffed out of the...

Re: Live hand #2: Turned top two pair

I donīt think you are pot comitted if you make a 80$ raise and he comes over the top all-in I mean there is no way you have the best hand unless he regurlary overplays his hand.
And you will only be...
