Paradise Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: Hero is MP3 with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 3 folds, Hero calls, 1 fold, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: (5 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, Hero raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls. Turn: (6.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, Hero folds, SB calls, BB folds. UTG was loose, and agressive. He was not a complete dink though, I know he would have raised like AK, AQ, or AJ. He seemed to know what to play in early position. Where were my mistakes? |

I raise pre-flop with AT in MP3. I don't give up on the turn either. Im not sure whether to raise or call...turn is a good question.

Are you putting villian on two pair on the turn? Even if you knew that he had something like KQ you would be getting atleast 7.5/1 to see the river (assuming one of the blinds doesn't checkraise).

so, my minor mistake was not raising PF, but my major mistake is folding on the turn?
I knew there was at least more than one mistake, I felt dumber after I folded. |

Why don't we raise the turn? If he's a LAG he could be betting the clubs.
PS> I've been playing alot of shorthanded. |

I would check/call the rest of the way down, since he doesn't fear the raise. Of course, if you two pair on the river, you bet.
I don't fold here without a read on him, though. |

Had WE raised PF and shown strength throughout, then ya, raise the turn.. but I don't see villian coming off his hand now. Hence, call on turn... IMO anyway

Don't auto raise this preflop. SSH says to limp with the hand in both tight and loose games. The value behind raising here is get the hand heads up or atleast buy the button. If you have seen that the people behind you have been cold calling a lot of raises (which is frequently the case at microlimits) there is little reason to raise here.

I raise or fold preflop completely depending on UTG, Itīs usually a raise unless he is very tight-passive.
I play it the same on flop. I donīt think you can give up for 1 bet on the turn, if he had QJ he would probably check-raise right? maybe he turned 2 pair with KT or hit his KQ,KJ but you do have some outs vs those hands and he might only have JT or QT with a flush draw or another AT. I would probably just call though to see what the blinds do. |
