Re: opening hands ?
Are you following SSH strictly and getting these numbers?
It is important that you understand that these are general guidelines, it is soo important that you also manage to read the board and the...

Re: QQ overpair in a big pot
I don't know if I would have capped with so many players pre-flop. Capping is only going to guarantee that they never will fold this hand, the pot odds are just way too high. However, I do agree with...

Re: TT in LP vs possible QQ or flush draw in MP
This is more along my way of thinking too. He may also be playing this as a scare card (especially if he has Axs.). Another option would be to check/call this down as it will save you a bet or two. ...

TT in LP vs possible QQ or flush draw in MP
How would you play the following:
I've got T /images/graemlins/spade.gifT /images/graemlins/heart.gif in LP. En pretty good player sitting in MP limps in, I raise, everbody folds except the MP...

Re: AQo HU, missing the flop OOP
This goes to show how important reads are, but also concentration at the table. When I multi-table with 3-4 tables OR playing 1-2 tables, but doing something else at the same time (TV, checking...

Re: 5/10: AQ against an all-in, a turn raise.
Sounds strange with Button calling the capped pot with only A2, but it depends on how he likes to play suited hands. However, he could also possibly working on a trap for the turn with a high pocket...

Sklansky's thoughts on check-raising, for example, would obviously be copyrighted though.

I agree in full on this point. However, I have previously seen removals of the...

Hand groups on web sites
Are the Sklansky/Malmuth hand groups copywrited? I found the following site kind of disturbing:

Re: WTH in 3/6 is it with the players?
One thing to consider is if these players are multi-tabling or watching TV or browsing the net at the same time as they are playing poker. Then they will know which hands to play and how to play them...

Check out GameTime as a complement to Poker Tracker, really nice to have all the info you want right on the board. Note that you can configure which info you want. I usually want VPIP/Raise...

Re: Too much Action with QQ on a 77272 board? :)
The QQ really upsets the board though. Only 5 best cards win, as usual. Quads are of course a risk, but I usually let them happen, it is so uncommon that i would more often try to go for the kill....

Re: How to play small pocket pairs?
Exactly, the reason people give advice that you can call any pocket pair from any position is that they are usually playing loose games with few raises. Higher levels are tighter games with more...

Re: AK river play
The pot being this big and you have already committed yourself to the pot on the turn, I'd call, as you still could be ahead. However, I have him down on AJ as he came out betting on the flop.

Re: AQs -- a standard 3/6 hand?
I don't agree. The pot is big and the Hero cannot be 100% certain that he is beat. An extra bet at this point is worth the payoff that he may have the best hand. You only need to be best less than...

Re: poor play?
I would have continued betting the river, calling a possible raise. In this play you didn't lose money, but could possibly lose a bet if the Button checked. However, the play isn't bad, what did he...
