Re: I Put him on my Buddy List

[ QUOTE ]
Cards is Fun! I raise! Durrrr.

[/ QUOTE ]

Except he never raised once, just cold-called anything. That's the beauty of it.

Tax Law in Canada

Hi, I am a semi-professional living in Canada and I'm starting to wonder about the tax laws here given that in another year poker may be my sole source of income. Does anyone know what the law says...

Re: Raise or Fold?

I also think that your implied odds go up when you check, since most low limit players are terrible at reading sets and will pay you off when you hit your set.

Re: Raise or Fold?

I am 7.5:1 to hit my set. The vast field of loose limpers is giving me 7:1. With implied odds, this is a +EV play. Plus on the off chance no overs come I am most likely good as well and can try a...

Re: Raise or Fold?

The funny thing was, MP1 ended up holding AA, checking and calling the whole way. CO had Q8o. Glad I folded /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Do i have to showdown these aces even though its OBVIOUS im beat

Huh? You folded aces on this non-scary board? 1/4 times he has KK. The other 3 times he has AK or AKs. Cap the flop for value, check/call to the river if he comes over top on the turn.

If he is...

Raise or Fold?

4/8 live. Extremely loose (6-8 players/flop), passive (only maybe 1/4 hands raised pf). CO is a bad player and doesn't recognize relative hand value. He is hard to read simply because he often...

Re: 3/6 Hand Blind Defence

You should have 3-bet preflop, lead the flop. Fold u/i on the turn to any aggression, otherwise keep betting.

Re: enough to buy in

Two nights ago I lost nearly 50 BB at a 6/12 game before winning a single pot. I was down to the felt when i turned 2-pair, finally winning a pot and couldn't get full value out of my hand against...

Re: Anyone find a fold here?

Actually, MP3 was one of those players who liked to raise blind but he never raised preflop with legitimate hands. It was after the flop where he usually played aggressively (and when he was playing...

I posted results in white so they could be read after you reply. Is this incorrect? Do most people read them before a reply?

Anyone find a fold here?

6/12 live. Game is loose-passive, Villain is one of the better players at the table (slightly loose preflop, straightforward postflop). MP3 is a complete LAG, always trying to but pots,...

Re: Thinking of moving up to 5/10 6-max

I agree I have a problem with WtSD %. I have always considered a great deal of my profit to come from folding hopeless hands rather than calling down with them. I am now calling down with middle pair...

Re: What is your winrate (BB/100) for your low-mid pairs? 22-77

I do try to steal blinds with any pocket pair.

77: 110 hands 0.21 BB/100
66: 133 hands 0.39 BB/100
55: 113 hands 0.03 BB/100
44: 113 hands -0.05 BB/100 (does anyone know why I have a positive...

Re: Thinking of moving up to 5/10 6-max

The reason I play almost exclusively on Party is that the players are poor. Do you think 3/6 short on UB, for example, would be an easier game than 5/10 on Party? If not, I may as well go straight to...

Re: Thinking of moving up to 5/10 6-max

I think the difference between 5/10 and 1/2 6-max is more than just psychological. 5/10 features much better players. They are more aggressive and play much better postflop (preflop as well, but...

Re: Thinking of moving up to 5/10 6-max

I have played 1/2 6-max (the only available shorthanded game on Party below 5/10) and crushed the game, but the limit is too low and I found the play *way* more passive than 5/10 so it wasn't really...

Thinking of moving up to 5/10 6-max

Hi there,

I have been beating Party 2/4 and 3/6 for 2BB/100 over 20k hands. I have amassed a large bankroll and am considering moving up to 5/10 6-max. I have played in 6-max before and found the...

Re: hypothetical 5/10 overcard, nice turn, what do u do now, hand...qu

If he is a solid player I can't see him cold-calling preflop with any hand other than 99 or 77 and taking this action postflop. However, I probably call down just in case this is a bluff.

If he is...

Re: A case for slowplaying

You make a decent case for slowplaying this flop. The pot is small (5.5 SB) so you may have a hard time convincing even a hand like JT to call if the players are very tight as you mentioned. Although...

Re: AA.....Deception vs Value....

I agree with the other posters. If you must add deception to your low-limit game, start capping with a range of hands, say TT or higher, AK, and JTs+.

Btw, against aggressive players in small...

Re: Too Agressive?? With Top two pair

Bet-fold the river. This game (as many B&Ms are) seems like it might be an "any ace" game, or at least have several "any ace" players, judging by the number of cold callers you got preflop. Even in a...
