Re: KQs on button - isolation 3-bet gone wrong

Why not bet the turn when your King appears?

I too would bet the river.

Re: The bluff call?

I can't explain it. I think MaXx is right, he accidently hit a button.

Re: Put to the test on the turn

I fold here.

What do others think? Am I losing it?

Re: KK but everyone else thinks they\'re winning.

I would probably want to get to a showdown cheaply. Not sure what others think....

You are afraid of QQ. Would someone play A5 here? I wouldn't think so, but I've been wrong before. So, your...

Re: QQ hand

I probably would have bet the turn. I think your ahead more times than not. Plus, I don't want to give a guy a free shot at a third heart.

Re: Shorthanded at Foxwoods.

Gino,
Thanks for your comments.

In this case, the button held 77, which was something I expected to see. I don't play short handed all that much and after getting some weird looks at the table,...

Mohegan Closes. New games at Foxwoods?

I was at Foxwoods Friday night. I am aware that Mohegan is closing their room, and thought to myself while staring at the board, is Foxwoods going to add the 10/20 with half kill? How about other...

Shorthanded at Foxwoods.

This is a 5/10 with kill game that just dwindled down to a shorthanded game around 3 am. It's 5 handed.

I'm dealt A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif5 /images/graemlins/heart.gif in the small blind....

Re: glen to vegas. . .

Did Nate do this? Too funny. That kid.

Hey. As you know, I always plan well ahead for any Vegas vacation, however, that does not mean a place like Circus Circus or some of the older / not as fancy...

Re: Flopped set - misplayed on every street?

JTG51,
I believe that Hold 'Em for Advanced Players clearly states that in a loose passive game, you need to tighten up, since you could be up against anything.
I don't like the limp with 44,...

Re: Bad time for a check-raise?

"However, at this level I guess it doesn't matter since they don't notice."

Your absolutely right. Which is why at this level, I try to keep it pretty straight forward.

Re: Flopped set - misplayed on every street?

JTG51,
If it's very loose and passive, you want to tighten up. And 44 UTG+1 is not tight. I would have folded pre-flop.

I'm down at Mohegan pretty regularly, I'll keep an eye out for you. You...

Re: Bad time for a check-raise?

River,
Bet the flop. Definitely. Forget the fancy stuff. Try to win it right there.

Re: quiz

J.A.,
How do we know he's unsophisticated? Mike l. just said that we don't have a good read on him, as he's been at the table for only 15 minutes. You might very will be right, but you can't make...

Re: quiz

mike l.
Call - 80%
Fold - 20%
Raise - 0%

I would probably call this.

Re: Mirage 6-12, AQ in the small blind.

Bob,
I like the raise. When you are re-raised my first thought is either an Ace or a semi-bluff for the flush. If he had a big ace, I might have expected some more action from him pre-flop. So I put...

Re: 10-20 Mohegan Question

Glen,
Thanks for the input. Sorry for the lack of clarity. Hope this clears some things up. At Mohegan, if a pot is over $65, it's considered a kill. So really, your playing 10-20 for most of the...

10-20 Mohegan Question

5-10 with full kill. This hand is 10-20 after some real big pots. The table is all regulars (meaning better than average to solid players) with the exception of one guy who really doesn't understand...

Re: favorite things heard at the table

Mohegan 5/10 with kill game. Button says in disgust as the waitress walks by him.

"Miss! I can't get drunk if I miss a round."

Re: Rumor: Mohegan Sun closing their poker room

I was at Mohegan this weekend playing some Hold Em and tried to get to the bottom of some of the questions asked in these posts.

Regarding the potential closing of the poker room: I asked a few of...
