Default thoughts

I dont want to get raised and I dont want to fold TT/JJ, AQ,AJ,AT,9x etc.

So I check to induce a bluff or a river call.

Good, bad, doesnt matter ?

[/ QUOTE ]these hands will not fold and that is why you must bet the turn IMO. checking here is weak.

maybe its weak, but he doesn't really fear a free card, a free card is probably not too likely (so a bet is going in either way- by checking he ensures its one bet, not 2, most of the time), and he hates having to pay off a turn or river raise (which he has to pay off).

i guess i don't really like it either. you're ahead here more than you're behind, so shouldn't you want to put in as many as you can?

I'd like it more if it were a rainbow board. The two hearts hurt the line's value.

I probably would have bet the turn. I think your ahead more times than not. Plus, I don't want to give a guy a free shot at a third heart.

I don't like. Most likey you are ahead and if you are against a typical bad party player he will call down with any piece of that board. Bet the turn, by not betting you are losing money

i agree with this. it also makes it more likely that he semibluffs. Therefore in this spot, I choose to suck it up bet and calling down a turn raise.
