Re: Strange hand, totally lost w/TT.

I hated every bit of this hand. I think my turn check was the worst street. I was baffled by the button's flop check. Does everyone agree that I should cap this pre-flop? I would cap w/JJ, but TT...

Big overcards heads-up vs. donk bets

These hands are all too frequent and I'm curious what thought processes everyone has. In every case I open raised, got 1 caller from the blinds and they came out betting on the flop. Which flops do...

Re: KK blind vs. blind

I agree that he would 3-bet the turn with KQo, QJs, QTs or A5s, but would he have capped pre-flop with any of these?

Simple pre-flop ?

I pretty much never open limp but have done so a couple times when a new player has posted. For instance UTG (poster) checks, you (UTG+1) have JTs, A5s, 55, etc.. Does this seem reasonable or...

Re: pocket aces and I never bet (?)

I agree with you. I thought at the moment that I could gain back what I gave up preflop with my deception, could be made up on the more expensive streets. I also thought CO was fairly likely to cap...

pocket aces and I never bet (?)

This is a very embarassing hand but I,ll take the insults. I cap with AA pre-flop 99.9% of the time but since I probably wasn't going to reduce the field I thought I'd smooth call. My plan was to...

Re: JTo in BB, easy flop call?

Just curious what others think. If he calls this flop, would this be a good time to semi-bluff check raise the turn if say an 8 or Q hit? UTG would have to worry about the 3rd 6.

4 pre-flop decisions

I've been advised to loosen up in the blinds and wondered what everyone here thought of these. No real reads yet, Party Poker, 10-20 6-max.

1) UTG raises, Button 3-bets, KTs in the big blind?...

Re: DIPO or NoPO (for discussion)

It seems like KT is another hand where you only have 3 outs. Extra bad if its suited with a backdoor flush.

Bunching effect

Worked this out just for curiosity. Thought I'd share it. 3-handed, you are on the button with QQ. The only hands you are worried about are AA,KK or AK. It can be worked out that there is a 4.54%...

thanks all

Thanks for the input, I'll try to be more specific in future posts. I like the advice about the pre-flop cap. I took the check call approach to the river and won with a flush on the river vs. KQ (no...

Re: Implied odds and hidden outs.

I would check the river. (unless Qs!) I think I would only get called by better hands like someone with a 9 or a small flush.

Re: Implied odds and hidden outs.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Are you certain that the turn bet is wrong? If one of them is on a flush draw (78s) and the other has JTx, it would be a huge mistake to give them a free shot to win...
