This is a very embarassing hand but I,ll take the insults. I cap with AA pre-flop 99.9% of the time but since I probably wasn't going to reduce the field I thought I'd smooth call. My plan was to raise the turn but when the board came double paired with 4 players I went into a shell. Go ahead, kick my but. I can take it. Let me pull up my skirt and give you the hand now.

preflop is like, dur dur dur cap it smoothcalling = horrible
flop call is okay if youre gonna raise the turn bet the turn, and bet the river, call down if raised. the worst street is preflop. not capping is unforgivable. you are going to break out in vaginas |

Why would you want to reduce the field when you have Aces? Personally I wouldn't mind if the entire table put in 4 bets.

wtf..? [/ QUOTE ] Took the words right out of my mouth. CO is a lag, you're probably going to get tons of action. No reason to try and get funky here. Just rapidly click the raise button and get paid off. Given the way you played it, c/r the turn. The lag is probably betting/calling with as little as A-high and the SB obviously doesn't like his hand enough to put in another bet against a maniac (on the flop or turn.) If he 3-bets the turn I call down. Sure the LAG could have a T or 9, but if he does you just have to chalk it up to bad luck. You win this pot most of the time. |

I agree with you. I thought at the moment that I could gain back what I gave up preflop with my deception, could be made up on the more expensive streets. I also thought CO was fairly likely to cap it himself. Is there ever a time to slowplay Aces at 10-20? Or save it for thinking players?

Unless there is someone downstream who raises every hand (and only calls a raise) preflop (so you can limp-reraise), ALWAYS RAISE AA!!!!
