KK blind vs. blind
Party Poker (5-10) 5-handed
sb seems to be solid straight forward player Hero is big blind with black KK's folded to sb who raises, Hero 3-bets, sb caps (8 sm bets) Flop: 5c 5d Qs sb bets, Hero calls (5 big bets) Turn: 3h sb bets, Hero raises, sb 3-bets, Hero calls (11 big bets) Wasn't sure if I should cap turn. Only logical hands for sb seems to be: AA 6 ways KK 1 way QQ 3 ways AQ 12 ways slight chance KQs 2 ways (would KQo cap pre-flop?) River: As (damn!) sb bets, Hero calls If AA, KK, QQ, and AQ are his only holdings I lose 21 times and 1 split pot. (I should fold) If KQs is possible, I have 21 losers, 1 split and 2 winners, which is a call. Does my thinking make sense or should I factor in that he could be out of line with (88-JJ) some of the time? Thanks in advance. |

Re: KK blind vs. blind
I think your hand range is a little too narrow for a SB v. BB steal/re-steal spot. I would think KQo and worse queens like QJs/QTs are possible turn 3-bettors, as is perhaps JJ (eh) but maybe my notion of straightforward diverges with yours. I also possibly consider something like A5s. For what its worth I also you can often raise this flop and not kill your action, but I think I cap this turn given your line. River call looks good too.

Re: KK blind vs. blind
I agree that he would 3-bet the turn with KQo, QJs, QTs or A5s, but would he have capped pre-flop with any of these?

Re: KK blind vs. blind
Probably not, maybe KQ, since it is a blind war... I think you played the hand fine though

Re: KK blind vs. blind
Your range of hands for the SB is too limited. In a SB steal, he could also have A5, K5s, QJ, Q10 or almost and PP. In almost any case, he'll play these very aggressive vs a BB. I think you have to raise this flop to get a better read...
