Worked this out just for curiosity. Thought I'd share it. 3-handed, you are on the button with QQ. The only hands you are worried about are AA,KK or AK. It can be worked out that there is a 4.54% chance that one of the blinds will have one of those hands. (1/3291 that they will both have it) Now you are playing 10-handed on the button and you look down at QQ again. This time you wait and the 1st 7 players all fold. How much different is your position now? I did a sim using these guidelines: 1st 3 players will play Sklansky's group 1 and 2 hands, next 2 players play groups 1 through 4 and next 2 players play groups 1 through 6 hands. The sim now shows that the blinds have a 5.04% chance of having AA,KK or AK. (1/2701 that they both have them) Is the difference here higher than most would have guessed?
