Re: Unimproved AQ/EP decision

[ QUOTE ]

You also may earn a free card. In general, if you get the hand heads-up, you should be sure to be disciplined (generally) and check the turn for the free card.

Re: When a flop bet comes from your right....

I appreciate the help, guys.

So, in sum, when a flop bet comes from my right when I have an overpair, I wait for the turn to raise only if
1) the pot is big
2) at least two players to act after...

Re: 77: 9-high flop vs. PFR

If MP1 is an aggressive player, he might raise you on the flop regardless of almost any holding. If this is the case, your flop bet would force MP2 and the Button to cold call two on the flop, which...

When a flop bet comes from your right....

Still trying to apply SSHE, i.e., protecting strong hands on draw heavy boards on the turn, rather than on the flop.

How far out is my ass on this line?

UTG1 is 34/0 over 20 hands.
MP2 is...

Re: KJ on BB, Should I have folded preflop? Turn?

[ QUOTE ]
We only have a 5-outer against exactly QQ. We have 2 outs with AA, 2 outs with KK, 0 outs with JJ, and 5 with QQ. It's a fold.

Re: AK reraised and misses --- Tell me how to analyze this hand

"Also, how did you get 3 outs??"

I figured general reraising hands were AA, KK, QQ and AKs.

I was only ahead against QQ, and split with AK.

Didn't know the process you used, so just...

Re: AK reraised and misses --- Tell me how to analyze this hand

Hand, Combinations of,Outs

AA, 3, 0
KK, 3, 3
QQ, 6, 6
JJ, 6, 6
TT, 3, 0
AK, 9, 22

Adding these together, and dividing by 44 (total number of unseen cards) you get an average # of outs of:...

AK reraised and misses --- Tell me how to analyze this hand

Trying to put my opponent on a hand and count my outs...

I can't count my outs as full outs after being reraised, can I?

And are my outs actually even fewer because of the probability that he...

Re: I suck and I\'m a pussy (and I\'m an idiot)

Interesting hand.

For what it's worth, I question the fold on the river too.

The passive button may be making a play on the over aggressive MP1. Just because he's super loose doesn't mean...

Great late night food at Tony's Baltimore Grill, but not $40 a plate classy. More like $12 a plate awesome.

And White House Subs. Best ever.

Re: Anyone want to discuss tough 5/10 players you see on all the time?

flair-

excellent post regarding the 5/10 game. I'd be interested in hearing more comments about the game, which I don't think will get attention buried in this thread.

Would love to see a...

Re: How much credit do I have to give this guy?

You know, I went back and checked his numbers.....I only had stats on him for about 10 hands, not 30.

Two questions:

When do you start determining your play based upon stats?

Would my line...

Re: How much credit do I have to give this guy?

Just used to so much bad play on party 3/6 that I thought the guy was overplaying AK.

Agreed-- the reraise was pushing too far.

The dude turned over a very well played QQ.

Thanks-

Re: Hand from a live game. Please advise.

Hope you stayed at the table long enough to make it all back and then some.

Did maniac reraise the flop? Did the other players stay in for the turn?

Re: Hand from a live game. Please advise.

Hey Purnell-

Wirh the maniac in back of you, who might reraise, I think the fold's pretty easy.

Especially with the bottom end of the straight. I would probably be tempted to call if I had A7...

How much credit do I have to give this guy?

Villian is tight 05/03 over just 30 hands. No other history besides that. Trying not to over emphasize stats over small
samples....

No idea why I three bet preflop. None.

Re: QJs in the small blind

I don't think you can safely try a check raise on the flop.

With no preflop raises, you have no idea where a flop bet will come from. Bet comes from UTG -- what do you do next?

Betting the...

AA too fast, too slow, or wussed out?

Just sat down at the table, get dealt AA in the cutoff.

Standard play against preflop raiser?

Hey there-

I think my play was pretty standard, but I'm eager to be told my ass is out of line.

No reads on the table. No notes on anybody.

Thanks in advance.
