Re: Unimproved AQ/EP decision

You also may earn a free card. In general, if you get the hand heads-up, you should be sure to be disciplined (generally) and check the turn for the free card.

Re: When a flop bet comes from your right....
I appreciate the help, guys.
So, in sum, when a flop bet comes from my right when I have an overpair, I wait for the turn to raise only if
1) the pot is big
2) at least two players to act after...

Re: 77: 9-high flop vs. PFR
If MP1 is an aggressive player, he might raise you on the flop regardless of almost any holding. If this is the case, your flop bet would force MP2 and the Button to cold call two on the flop, which...

When a flop bet comes from your right....
Still trying to apply SSHE, i.e., protecting strong hands on draw heavy boards on the turn, rather than on the flop.
How far out is my ass on this line?
UTG1 is 34/0 over 20 hands.
MP2 is...

Re: AK reraised and misses --- Tell me how to analyze this hand
Hand, Combinations of,Outs
AA, 3, 0
KK, 3, 3
QQ, 6, 6
JJ, 6, 6
TT, 3, 0
AK, 9, 22
Adding these together, and dividing by 44 (total number of unseen cards) you get an average # of outs of:...

Re: I suck and I\'m a pussy (and I\'m an idiot)
Interesting hand.
For what it's worth, I question the fold on the river too.
The passive button may be making a play on the over aggressive MP1. Just because he's super loose doesn't mean...

Re: Restaurants in AC
Great late night food at Tony's Baltimore Grill, but not $40 a plate classy. More like $12 a plate awesome.
And White House Subs. Best ever.
I've never had the need to go any farther out of...

Re: How much credit do I have to give this guy?
You know, I went back and checked his numbers.....I only had stats on him for about 10 hands, not 30.
Two questions:
When do you start determining your play based upon stats?
Would my line...

Re: Hand from a live game. Please advise.
Hey Purnell-
Wirh the maniac in back of you, who might reraise, I think the fold's pretty easy.
Especially with the bottom end of the straight. I would probably be tempted to call if I had A7...

How much credit do I have to give this guy?
Villian is tight 05/03 over just 30 hands. No other history besides that. Trying not to over emphasize stats over small
samples....
No idea why I three bet preflop. None.
Party Poker 3/6...

Re: QJs in the small blind
I don't think you can safely try a check raise on the flop.
With no preflop raises, you have no idea where a flop bet will come from. Bet comes from UTG -- what do you do next?
Betting the...

AA too fast, too slow, or wussed out?
Just sat down at the table, get dealt AA in the cutoff.
Hated the way I played the hand.
Against an unknown villian, when should I pull my foot off the gas?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Standard play against preflop raiser?
Hey there-
I think my play was pretty standard, but I'm eager to be told my ass is out of line.
No reads on the table. No notes on anybody.
Thanks in advance.

There are floating semi-legal games in the Pittsburgh area.
I've played in them, and they do not seem too shady, nor too hard.

I think my usual play is to raise the flop when in this situtation. It may well be checked to me on the turn, but if...
