Re: fold a set on the flop.

for those who don't know already, villain had jj.

i used to agree that folding a set is just silly, but since playing the wpt event, i don't believe that is true.

obviously you can't do it...

Re: fold a set on the flop.

actually, i don't think it's relevant because it's a question of discussion on what the right play is, not whether i won or lost.

i want people to decide for themselves what are his range of...

Re: fold a set on the flop.

frostbrn. i really like your post. with this line of thinking, you won't be in the small stakes mtt's much longer. one thing i should mention is that my image at the table would probably be pretty...

hand #1 - i'd like to know a little bit more about how he plays preflop to know if he would slowplay jj-aa and if he plays junky hands like t6 suited and the like utg.

Re: fold a set on the flop.

thanks for all the feedback.

for those of you believe this is an automatic call with 77, i'd be curious to know what you would do with 44 in this situation.

is this still an automatic call,...

Re: fold a set on the flop.

i took a little while to figure the odds i was getting and did make the call figuring that the reraise could mean 44 not jj. however, it was a reluctant call for me because of the following line of...

hand from the borgata

dealt jj in early position with about 12k in chips. we started with about 20k, so i'm short, but the blinds are small enough where i'm not desparate.

tight player (20k) from utg raises to 600 and...

Re: Party $200: Weak-tight, or good Common Sense?

This is a strange thing to say, but I think there's a pretty good chance that the bettor has a straight flush with 87 of clubs.

However, one important piece of information that is missing is how...

hi fellow 2+2ers.

i played in a multi-table tournament at a brick and mortar casino in the bay area and have two hands that i'd like people to critique. it was a 100+25 tourney with 100 rebuy....

Re: What % of players who move up to 100 and 200 SNGs falsely do so?

the comment about the average 2+2'er not being an above average player is flat-out wrong. it's justified by saying that anyone who's bought a sklansky book is on 2+2 might be true, but anyone who's...

why can\'t i mulittable?

over the last year, i've played a combination of 55's and 109's on partypoker and in 500 55's i had an roi of about 21% and in the first 220 109's an roi about 25%.

all of these were basically...
