Re: donkbet heads up with overcards, what\'s a good line?

I'm seeing this more and more often. You open-raise, a blind or two calls and then bets out at a ragged flop. In fact, about every time this situation comes up, I've been seeing the blind bet out...

Take your lumps or skip town?

I assume since this happens to me from time to time it happens to everyone. I'd like to know how some of you guys manage this type of situation.

You're at a table w/a guy who is just about as...

Re: Folding the river w/K high flush on an unpaired board

Boy, that's tough, but I think I have to hang in there.

Re: 40k hands checkup - My stats

PF Raise: 12.94

Is this typical for the rest of you? I have been working to bet my preflop AF up, but 13%..then again, I'm playing more 1/2 and 2/4 than 2/4 and 3/6

Re: Interesting dilemma

[ QUOTE ]

PS The flop was 7d, 7c, 5h, followed by 8d, 6d.
The winner showed AA but i would of had a set on the flop, a straight and full house draws on the river and won a huge pot if I stayed...

Re: Ever river a flush and just call?

Hmm....paired board, 5th nut flush draw....am I the only one who doesn't like the 3 bet on the flop?

I do think you should raise/call the river. But boy, 5th nut flush, straight flush possible,...

Re: Fold right?? 3/6

Boy, that pot is laying you like 8:1 odds. Plus you have the 2nd nut flush draw. I think I call the turn bet. I think by calling the turn I'd be commiting myself to check/calling the river, too.

Re: Flopped straight draw multiway

I don't think you raise the flop. You're only afraid of KQ here, and now w/the J on the turn you just don't want to see a K or Q on the river. Keep 'em in on the flop, and raise the hell out of the...

I would have threebet the flop and led the turn and slowed down if BB raised on the turn

Re: Tricky A7 calldown.

Well, getting 9:1 on the river, so we have to call there, right?

I'm just not sure about the call on the turn. You said the SB was your typical player. By "typical" I think straight forward and...

Re: Do you fall for temptation on some cards?

Sometimes I might roll my eyes or sigh when I fold 82 in the BB to a raise and the flop comes 888. It doesn't piss me off or make me want to play 82 the next time I see it.

What will get me going...

Can I just ask why you thought about limp-3 betting? I'm glad you decided not to, but just curious as to what the positives would be for that play, UTG, w/77?
