Default Small Blind - Is it worth it?

I've been thinking about some of the play recommendations for the SB in an unraised pot. It makes perfect sense that you can play a little looser here vs many limpers based on cheap price you're getting to see the flop.

But I'm wondering, is it really worth it? First, if you do flop something that raises your eyebrow, you're in crap position the rest of the hand. It also seems very likely you'll find a Q8o dominated by a QT limper. The "Any two suited" has its obvious perils. You guys no all this...no reason to go into it all.

Do you really hit enough of these below average hands to pay off all those little 1/2 bet "complete-check-fold"s?

Also, here are a few hands I'd like to know what you guys would do with in the SB. Assume there are 4 limpers and the BB is not likely to raise w/anything other than a premium hand.

A3o
K7o
J7o
T6o
93s
74s
Q6o
K3o
J2s

I'm assuming a 1/2 blind structure because that is how it is in the game I play in.

I would fold em all except for maybe 74s.

What hands you complete with from the SB should depend entirely on how many people are in the pot already (and, to a lesser extent, how loose those players are and the position they limped from). You can't just come up with a blanket statement like "you should always fold K4o from the SB", because sometimes you will have the pot odds to chase your 2 pair/trips, and other times you'll just have 1 incredibly loose limper that you can outplay postflop.

Given the "4 limpers, BB unlikely to raise" criteria that you put forth, you are getting odds to complete with any 2 (odds of flopping 2 pair/trips are 11:1). However, if you are not completely comfortable in your postflop play and/or reads on your opponents, there's no shame in folding a poor & likely dominated hand.

Ditto that. Things get more intresting in a 2/3 blind stucture anyway.

I complete all of these in a 2/3 structure.

In a ring game with a 2/3 structure it's profitable to play every hand. With three limpers you're getting 14 to 1. You'd have to be dealt a single card to make a fold correct.
