Default Flopped straight draw multiway

First hand at table. No real reads, but the players are generally fishy.

5/10 online

I'm dealt T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the BB.

3 limpers, SB completes, I check.

Flop (5SB):

8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB bets, I call, 2 calls.

Turn (4.5BB): J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB bets, I raise

Should I have raised flop? My turn play knocks out the field but protects my hand a bit too. Right?

I'll post the rest later

I don't think you raise the flop. You're only afraid of KQ here, and now w/the J on the turn you just don't want to see a K or Q on the river. Keep 'em in on the flop, and raise the hell out of the turn to make the Ks, Qs and heart draws pay.

do not raise the flop. The more players in the better. I would raise the turn.

Nah I don't like raising the flop because: pot is small, you're more unlikely to get a free card or position, it'll be ugly if its 3-bet HU or 3-way. I like the turn raise since anyone with two hearts is going to call.

I don't see a reason to raise the flop. You have a drawing hand with two overcards, but the 9 is unlikely to be an out. T may be an extra out. But the pot is small so I personally would probably just call the flop...

I think raising the turn is fine, you want people to pay extra for their QT open-enders or in case someone is slowplaying a set, flopped straight, flush draw, etc.

I don't see what you're trying to protect your hand against... I don't think you can get anyone to fold something that can beat you for 2 BBs that they shouldn't fold for 1 BB. The pot is small.
