Player was a tricky bastard that kept doing crap like this all day with suited connectors and smaller pairs.

Normally I win like 52-55% of my showdowns.

Today was 40% UGLY LOSS!

We all have days like that. I just lost to Q2 w/QQ on a T72 flop in a 22BB pot (capped preflop, capped flop, raised turn). That's poker.

1) Bad beat posts go on some other site.

2) I'm not sure what would make you raise (or cap) the flop with 2nd pair/TK vs. a preflop 3-bettor, even if he was a complete LAG. If you have that little respect for his play, you should have capped preflop (with position postflop).

3) Given the way he played the hand & the nature of the opponent, how could you not expect to see a flush on the river?

Seriously guys, I know we all get tired of bad beats stories, but if it helps a guy vent to get it off his chest to other people who know how it feels, let him have is moment. Is it really that difficult to give a guy a "Ouch, that's rough, shoulda been your pot" positive reinforcement?

Then whats the point of this post. Its non-helpful to this forum in anyway, and there is no point to getting a discussion going over a "bad beat".

Im guessing over 90 percent of the posters dont really care. IF u want to post bad beats, put it elsewhere. Its part of poker, get used to it.

While your post says nothing, Im actually saying SOMETHING.

Ah, if he knows what hes doing at the table, there is no need for this. Even if he is the worst player ever, all he has to do is read any poker book, to know this kind of stuff is going to happen.

You want bad beat. My friend has KK at the 80/160 table. All streets are capped. River is an Ace, he check calls. A3o takes it down.

I totally agree. My point, however, is that we are not all blessed with the same temperment. I'm one of those who has to actively fight the need to jump up and down on the table calling people idiots (while, I'm fully aware, looking like a bigger one myself).

We cannot, however, do this. Sometimes hearing a "Nice hand, you just got hosed, that guy has no clue" can bring you down a bit.

It's a leak, I supposed, just like cold calling KJ or trying to bluff a station, or whatever your leak may be.
