AJ sooooted kill - I made worst possible decision
This hand has been bothering me for two days. I think I know now what I should have done, but I want some opinions.
B&M 4-8, it's a kill pot so we're playing 8-16 this round. Killer has won 4 pots...

Re: Music while playing in B&M
Don't know how other people do it. It distracts me.
And it can be annoying when the dealer has to loudly repeat things to the ipod wearer. Not a problem if the ipoder is paying attention, but my...

Re: Is this typical for Live Play?
Northern Quest Casino near the Spokane airport has a nice poker room. Lots of good games.
There's also a couple of smaller card rooms in town, but I haven't played at them.

Re: Live Play - Is this typical?
Welcome to live play. This is normal. If anything, I've been noticing players getting more passive. Raise with AA, KK, QQ? Nah. AK? It never wins.
Part of this is the belief that "Aces never win"...

TT into scary board
Loose aggressive live 4-8 game.

Loose player reraises, new player at the table calls two cold. I cap.

Re: hands/hour with auto shuffler
Yeah, what the previous reply said. 40-45 an hour. I've taken the trouble of keeping track a few times. And these are games with 5+ players seeing the flop.

Re: Aggression problems and the drunk -- RESULTS
I thought for a couple of seconds then threw 16 chips out to call.

Re: Aggression problems and the drunk -- River
Thanks for the comments, seems like I played it ok so far.
I bet the turn and get check-raised. D'oh!
I'm not liking my hand so much any more, but I call, really wanting a K or Q on the river....

Aggression problems and the drunk
B&M 4-8. A drunk drinking bourbon and cokes has killed the last 5 pots so we've been playing 8-16 instead of 4-8. Drunk is in fact playing any two cards, because as the killer he has to post $8...

Re: Check up on a river fold.
Flop: I like to check-raise here. Bad idea?
River - several good reasons to fold. Calling-station suddenly turns into aggressor, weak-tight button wakes up and raises, And I hate overcalling!

Re: Rare spot to call 2 cold?
Here's my math:
Method one:
There are 45/47 * 44/46 ways to not get a K on the turn or river. This is 1980/2162. Therefore, there are
1 - (1980/2162) ways to get a king on the turn or river.

Rare spot to call 2 cold?
Live 4-8, very very loose players. Big pots.
I'm SB. BB is tight agressive 2+2er, UTG is new to the table (his 6-12 game broke and he's waiting for 10-20) but has been in to see most flops since he...

Playing AK - latest thinking
At a B&M game Wednesday, a guy across the table lost with AK. He moaned, "I hate raising with that hand." The player next to him offered this advice:
"If you've been hitting the flop lately, you...

10-20 Temptation
Hit the local card room Tuesday with 2+2er bdypdx. As he was writing our names on the 4-8 list, Jim the floor guy asked, "Why aren't you two moving up to 10-20? You're better than most of those guys...

Re: tightest game ever!
[ QUOTE ]
Only 2 - 3 seeing the flop.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not to mention that it was folded around to the blinds frequently. Sometimes 3 or 4 hands in a row. It was amazing.

Re: sults
Hand 1:
I folded. No other spade fell and the guy to my left won with two pair, 7's and 8's. I hung my head in shame.
Hand 2: I folded. Turn and river brought no card higher than my eights....
