hands/hour with auto shuffler
given you are playing a full table small stakes holdem game that plays at an average pace, how many more hands can you expect to get in per hour with an auto shuffler than traditional shuffling? also if anyone knows of any good previous threads on hands per hour at live games with given variables (such as crappy dealers) then please post a link because i cant find it.

Re: hands/hour with auto shuffler
i think average without shuffler is like 30-35. shuffler makes it 40-45.

Re: hands/hour with auto shuffler
Yeah, what the previous reply said. 40-45 an hour. I've taken the trouble of keeping track a few times. And these are games with 5+ players seeing the flop.

Re: hands/hour with auto shuffler
I don't have any empirical evidence, but I'd swear I was getting an extra five hands out per 30-minute down.
Of course, that may be because I'm the last of a dying breed (dealers who wash the cards before shuffling them). |

Re: hands/hour with auto shuffler
trust dawgs, these little puppies are at least good for 10 more an hour.
heres the breakdown: press the green button, take the deck out, cut, deal. its that simple. takes at most 5 seconds. vs. monster table wash, gather up all the cards and get them into a neat deck, shuffle, riffle, shuffle, shuffle, riffle, riffle, strip, strip, shuffle, cut, then deal. sh1t takes at least a minute. |

Re: hands/hour with auto shuffler
Is the deck shuffled good after one pass through the auto-shuffler? (I've never seen one in person.)

Re: hands/hour with auto shuffler
I think Rick's numbers are more correct. I asked a floorman from a different casino with the autoshufflers and he told me 36-38/hour.
They can get more accurate #s....all they have to do is look at the drop figures...no guessing involved. |
