Re: Weird big blind hand, callers everywhere, value bet river?

Hindsight is 20/20 ain't it? I guess a weak lead is appropriate, but I hate not calling an all in raise with a pot like that (which I feel is likely enough to keep me from leading). I figure I'm...

Weird big blind hand, callers everywhere, value bet river?

No reads on anyone. I guess I'm worried about 9 10 or a set being slowplayed, but I figure I'd get raised on the turn if I was beat. Do I bet out, check and call a moderate bet? Thoughts? Thanks...

Re: Flopped a flush, now what

I like raising the flop.

You might get as many bets as you would on a non club turn (3 more small bets if you raise on the flop, whereas someone leading on the turn might induce 2 folds and only...

Re: AA no goot?

SB looks like he's SUPER slow playing, with the turn check/cold call/cap, which SCREAMS set. That, combined with the fact that you think you have a decent read on the button having a 10, I think you...

Re: AJo in BB facing an MP1 raise and a SB call. Reraise, call, or fold?

If you are dealt AJo in the BB in a normal name (not too tight or too loose), 7-handed, and MP1 raises while the SB cold calls (in a 1/3 blind structure), what is hero's action? Call,...

Re: River cap too much?

He'd have to be a pretty big moron to 3-bet bluff this river, since you're not folding for a single bet. Which pretty much narrows his holdings down to a T.

Re: Do I bet this turn?

[ QUOTE ]
You shouldn't have included the results.

I see no point in betting the turn. All you have is on overcard and a decent kicker. When your ace hits on the river, bet. Call the check-raise....

As a moderately experienced poker player, my two best pieces of advice are:

1. Don't get frustrated, everyone has downswings. You will have swings where the cards will hit for bad players over...

Re: What are the good live cash games in Vegas this week?

Bellagio 8/16 was the softest game I played, by far. The Wynn wasn't bad at 8/16, my friends played 30/60 and had it rough. Rio 10/20 was ok.
I'd say Bellagio was the best when I was in Vegas a...

All of these are great suggestions.

I would also add "change games from time to time."

I've found that my NL game has improved vastly by playing limit periodically (it tightens me up, gives me...
