Its not worth the risk. Just stick to where you can play legally and safely and save your bankroll for important things.

is the legal age for online poker 18?

[/ QUOTE ]

It is "legal" if you are 18, but who the hell could see you through your computer? I've been playing for money since I was 16 and have been doing very well (online, that is). As for the Taj, don't bring an ID. Just see if you can get a seat and then see what happens from there. If you do win and they card you, pay someone else to cash your chips for you. And then collect it anywhere but the gaming floor (too many cameras). Obviuoulsy, you want someone you trust cashing in your chips.

Furthermore, i was under the impression that any chips you managed to win at a casino where yours, and could not be confiscated from you...

Not if you bought them illegally. That's like saying any crack I bought is mine, and cannot be confiscated. OK that's a little extreme. But a closer comparison would be an underager buying beer and then claiming "the cops can't confiscate it because it's mine."

They'll kick you out if you don't have ID and they card you.

They can still confiscate his chips though, leaving him screwed out of whatever he buys in for.

Where do you live? If you live in new york city then I know of some clubs you could go to where it doesn't matter because it is all illegal anyway. But you do have to be at least 18 to become a member. Send me a message if you want some ins on some places you might be able to go if you are in the new york city vicinity.

Is this true? Does the law say you cannot even POSSESS casino chips? I've also heard that they can't confiscate your chips if you simply don't have an ID.

I'm just curious if anyone KNOWS the answer.

respectfully,

matt

As others said it's probably not worth the risk. Play online and play it safe. It's better to not risk losing your own money unless you are prepared to fork out what you lose. I'm sure you and your friends could get a home game going or find an underground club to play in. There's plenty around these days.

Not worth the trouble IMO.
