Re: KQo UTG. How\'s my line?

With the relative position of the pf raiser, protecting your hand here would be near impossible. Just bet out and hope for the best, and the hand plays itself.

Re: GIGANTIC Pot - But did I play it right?

When a pot has become this large preflop and as big as it is on the turn, your main concern should be do absolutely everything in your power to win this pot.

Since the pot is so large the TAG's...

Re: 2/4 rake

Thanks.

Is there anyone who has done research on this and found out how much it would equate to in terms of bb/100 hands. Also, if there are more of you who could post your rake stats and hands...

2/4 rake

Hello, I was just wondering if someone with a significant amount of 2/4 hands in their pokertracker database could give me some information on how much rake they've paid over how many hands.

I am...

Re: KK & AA hand. I thought they were interesting

I agree completely with marchron, i think betting the river in hand 1 is throwing money away.

Re: QQ - Against a Mouse - Your play?

With your read, this is an easy fold. Your effective odds aren't high enough to call down to see whether he has the ace or not. In short, the pot is too small.

I saw his shirt walked up to him and said "Aren't you Skalansky?"

And did he respond, "Yes I am. Do you see why?"

Re: Casino Report of a Different Kind (more rhetoical content)

Great post, I like it. It definitely helps with the bad beats, when you just pretend that you are the house and eventually it's all coming to you.

Another quote that is similar to this is one...

Re: First Posted Hand - General Feedback

If we can agree on something, I think it is that just calling the flop is the worst play you could do here.

Re: First Posted Hand - General Feedback

Hrmm... Let me do a little math. Let's assume that we will win this pot 20% of the time (Say we lose 75% of the time he has an ace and an extra 5% of the time he has overcards that hit of a draw...

Re: First Posted Hand - General Feedback

I think the flop bet means an ace closer to 70-80% of the time. Especially leading into the whole field (including the preflop raiser). And even if we are able to knock someone out with ace-rag.....

Re: First Posted Hand - General Feedback

I agree the flop bet doesn't automatically mean "I have top pair", but I feel that in this situation, more often than not, it does mean top pair or a better hand than yours.

And if we ARE behind,...

Re: First Posted Hand - General Feedback

The more I think about it, the more I think you really are drawing to two outs more often than not in this situation, and raising would be chip spewing. I just don't see UTG+2 leading into the field...

Re: First Posted Hand - General Feedback

*tarding*

I would either raise or fold the flop. Why are you calling on the flop? You are not calling because you have two outs (I hope), I'm guessing your calling because you think your hand...

Re: I\'m not a nit and Mischa Barton is hot (and three decisions)

I think calling and going for the overcall with MP1 is the best play in hand 2.

If you raise and have the best hand, MP1 is folding and MP3 is calling.

If you raise and have the worse hand MP1...
