There was 10.5 SBs in the pot and I had 2 overcards plus a very weak STR8 draw. The overcards are somewhere between 3-6 outs. This STR8 draw is probably less 1 out. At 3-4 outs it's probably a fold, but higher than that with some implied odds it looks like a call. Anyone? It's very close but i would call, your getting 11-1 and noboy except the preflop raiser is showing any agression.
If you spike your ace or queen there's a good chance that it will be good. Also, how aggressive is the raiser? Will he keep on betting with a weak hand even if he missed the flop? |

Yes, you should call the flop. I've been folding these way too often myself and I'm trying to break the habit. When the pot is raised, it's ok to call the flop here with 2 big overcards (and the backdoor straight draw).
Consider 3-betting preflop, you have a lot of pot equity and making the pot bigger will increase your expectation. |

You can consider 3-betting if you really dont respect your opponents raising. If he's a solid bettor, just call.

You have a good hand, so if you raise pre-flop, it can give you the odds to call on the flop. That was my thinking.

I would have 3-bet pre-flop also and the made a continuation bet on flop. But that might be the maniacal noob rearing his ugly head again

The logical extension would be to 3-bet with hands like 86s, since it might give us odds to call the flop in a pot with only 2 or 3 opponents. See why its bad? With 2 people in the pot I would 3-bet. With 3... it depends on MP2. |
