KTs hand that I didn\'t like very much

UTG+1 is very, very loose and sometimes aggressive. The other players are all 15-25 VPIP after one orbit.

Re: Value raising a flush draw?

I would play the same for one reason; bragging rights to say that the one time I hit my Royal Flush I actually got payed off royally by 3 players in a huge pot that was capped on every street!

Re: Playing, not earning (non-hand post)

I have been on a poker break for 6 months, just starting back up again this June. To me the drive for playing was always the competitive element, and understanding that through study/practice I could...

Re: What would you do?

There was an almost identical question asked by Chris Daddy Cool a while back that stirred up a good discussion:

Re: What would you do?

I would raise any PP and any suited connector down to 54s. In addition I would raise AKs to A-8s, KQs to K9s, QJs-QTs, AKo to AQo and KQo

I would call with suited one gappers from J9 to 86s.

Re: Yet another QQ hand

Small pot, but you still can't fold the turn should you bet and have him raise.

I think I would rather check/call him down. He's got to be staying in for some reason...

Edit: He did not raise...

I would raise this turn. Even with a worse pair there is a good chance he will call down HU, and I think there is a pretty good chance you are ahead.

Re: Trying to get too tricky?

Hand 1:
Hmm... That flop is very coordinated, but its tempting to trap some people in despite that fact. I would go for a c/r.

Hand 2:
Cap PF. Bet the flop and call a raise. Bet out and continue...

The way it played out, bet the river for value.

Re: TPTK in a huge pot, how to protect my hand?

Is raising this pre-flop standard? I would have just limped in this position.

Betting the flop with the PF raiser on your left is good, looks like your best option to force some more people out. ...

Re: Donk-raised on the turn

I would call. You have sufficient outs.

If the river doesn't hit you, and you check, he will bet no matter what he has. I still think you should fold. I don't think you will be good here 1 in 8...

Re: Heads Up in the blinds

I like your flop play. I would cap the turn though, heads up I would be willing to go a little gonzo here.

If he bets into you again on the river I would call. If he checks I would bet/call the...

Re: Standard Line with KK? (long post)

I think I would go with line number 5. Basically The main reason is not to fail charging a flush draw.

Assuming you take line 5... Should the third club fall on the river and he bets, I would...

Re: Another KJo hand

I would limp PF.

If I understand you correctly you are not asking if you played the hand right, but rather how you should have played it if the SB bet into you on the turn, right?

I would call...

Re: QQ huge pot

I feel sorry for you… You really get trapped horribly in between here. But the first real opportunity I see for you to get out is on 5th street. I’d take it.

Re: do you lay off with the ace high flush but not the nuts

UTG+2 raised from fairly early position pre-flop. That significantly reduces the chance of him having the 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif. Enough to play it like you did.

Re: Did I play this draw correctly?

I would definitely fold this preflop. But on to the rest of the hand...

I would consider c/r the flop since that would trap some players between you and the pf aggressor. I would then check/call...

OK... This wasn't really a hand I played. It was playe by Entity, who also posted it. I just liked it so I wanted to put it back up here. Some of the responses back then were:

Re: AQs flush draw from the SB

I would not fold to a raise based on

1. The chance of it being re-raised behind you is very slim.
2. I think your AQ will hold up a quite a few more times than the 15:1 odds you are getting.

Re: AA on the button

I would definitely bet the river. Good chance he was trying to steal. Also a good chance he will call your bet with a worse hand.
