Re: chip labels for cheap chips (suited, dice etc.)

Chips having a recess definitely make a difference as far as storage goes. Also facilitates centering the label. With labels you're at the mercy of the whoever is printing them. And sometimes you get...

Re: Welcome to Las Vegas Chips?

[ QUOTE ]
Hi Fyr,
Can you tell me if the stickers seem like they are easy to peel off or will come off in time? I would probably be concerned a little about it. ALso, do you think the residue can...

Re: can you make your own chips?

I would go to a site tha makes them. Look at the price of the set you want, and cut it in half. Where you gonna get a Kiln to fire the ceramics though?

My Kems have no smell at all. What kind of smell does yours have? Were they used?

Got mine from Kardwell.

Re: Welcome to Las Vegas Chips?

I bought the Pokerchipmart "Welcome" chips. Such an improvement over my 11.5 dice chips. Feels more like the chips I play with at the Casino.

My only gripe about them is that some adhesive residue...

Re: KEM cards

Your lucky, my KEMS are copyrighted 1935,lol.

I believe the smell is because of the material they are made of. The smell is a small price to pay for such good cards.

Re: What color breakdown should I get?

Are you locked into those colors only? It's my experience that, at most, you would only need three or four colors max. Not five.

So dropping the blacks of which there are only 50, and basing your...

I use the KEM Arrow Poker Sized Cards with the super index's. I have a red deck and a blue deck. Best cards I have ever owned.

Re: Cards

Please do yourself the favor of buying the KEM cards. I ordered a set of chips recently and they came with two decks of ROYAL cards. All I can say is that they are junk. They're flimsy, and easily...

Re: Successful SnG players:Are you usually short stacked when in the $?

I hardly ever make it to the money in first. Most of the time I'm third. I then wait a few to see if second tightens up or goes for the jugular and adjust my play from there.

Also interested in any other ideas on how to (fairly easily and cheaply) emboss ones own logo.

Re: Online poker

Absolute Poker SNG's start at .50/.10 on up. The rake for each is only 1% of the buyin, except in some of the upper limit games. Tables have 9 players for hold'em instead of ten like some other sites.

Re: Is playing with play money a good way to get better

It's been my experience that play money tables aren't a good barometer for solid play. If anything, play money teaches you how to play against the loose players with the added benefit of not losing...

Re: Foxwoods Poker Room ... I\'m under 21

One thing you don't want to do is make obvious eye contact with the security people. If you're staring at them to see if they're checking you out. Well just like poker, that's a tell that you don't...
