chip labels for cheap chips (suited, dice etc.)
if anyone is putting off getting chip labels for your cheap chips because you don't think they will look good, go ahead and order some labels.
I got my labels in the mail today and washed my old chips up and got about 100 chips labeled, and they look a lot better than I thought they would. just be sure to get them centered because that's when they look the best. |

Re: chip labels for cheap chips (suited, dice etc.)
are you still able to get the same amount of chips in a rack? i mean, did the labels make the chips any thicker?
i ask because standard 11.5g dice/suited chips dont have a recessed center. ten |

hmm...the ones I have, the A/J suited chips have a very very slightly recessed center. It looks like just enough to put a label into.

Re: chip labels for cheap chips (suited, dice etc.)
that was the only problem i had. i bought the chips back when they were pretty expensive on ebay and got the nice wooden case. each holder holds 25 chips, and now i can only get 24 in there without them fitting tightly, so i just put the extra chips under the racks. i would think that they would fit fine into the steel case though because they seem to have extra room.

Chips having a recess definitely make a difference as far as storage goes. Also facilitates centering the label. With labels you're at the mercy of the whoever is printing them. And sometimes you get some off centered ones.

I imagine an recessed center also helps with label wear.
