Default Welcome to Las Vegas Chips?

Has anyone used these? They claim that they're 100% clay. They look sweet and I think they're 10g.

I assume you are talking about this: http://www.gamblersgeneralstore.com/...gory_Code=2B14

I actually ordered some samples of that chip type(different design) and I was actually very impressed. They have a nice feel and sound, weight is good and they have rounded edges. However I was interested in customizing them and that went nowhere fast (staff wasn't very helpful).

These are made by RTPlastics (http://rtplastics.com) which makes a ton of casino tournament chips if I am not mistaken. Don't let the fact that these are indeed a type of plastic disuade you; they are nothing like the dice chips. Get a sample set and see what you think.

The Gambler's General Store fantasy chips are very nice (my friend has a set. The chips are well made and have a nice weight to them. The chips aren't clay, but are some type of plastic, but way nicer than the 11.5 or 9.5 composite chips. They do customize with a 500 minimum order (I emailed them for the info and they responded quickly). It is a nice alternative to real clay chips.

Default No, These Chips

These are the one's I was asking about. They look good, and they claim they are clay, but they're so inexpensive.

I am almost positive those are the same thing with a different sticker (http://rtplastics.com/dynasty.html - look at DS-4B2). Get a sample and see if you like them.

If they are the same, they are about a quarter of the price.

So be it I guess.

The rtplastic chip is 9 gram as well (gamblersgeneralstore.com says 100 = 2 lb, 2 pound = 907.18474 gram). I have a sample too and that is exactly what they look like, they have diamonds in between the stripes.

Call him and ask who manufactures them and especially if they have a metal insert. Get samples if you can.

Did they give you an idea of cost? Can you post? I could never get any satisfactory info from them.

I can't imagine any real clay poker chip set would cost $109 for 500.

I'd get a sample to be sure they aren't the same clay composite as the Dice chips.
