Re: 64s
Absent a "folds to turn raise HU" note, just call. You are behind, and even though you have a ton of outs (15?) I don't think your equity is >50%.

Re: Meh.
Anyone raise the frop here? If the flush doesn't keep you from raising the turn, why not get aggressive earlier?

Re: Seat Selection
I think the value of the known tight player on your left is more desirable, since it gives you the "button" more often (when he folds), and good position gives you an edge over whatever opponents...

"You just have to learn how to play against the TAGs."
Um, any advice? Do we follow HEFAP more closely (with which I am not familiar) rather than SSH? Obviously we would muck the PF hands that...

Re: Poor limp of pocket 10\'s? Stars $15
Agree with the t60 raise PF, but ONLY because it has been folded to me and the big stack is out. Also, I think I would only raise if I have been an uber-rock up until that point. If my table image...

Re: Hum. KK against a 2+2er.
I hope some more respected posters chime in here, but it looks like one of those way-ahead or way-behind scenarios, so good job getting to showdown cheaply.
But the LAG in me really really wants...

Re: Ignorant Question from a 3000+ Poster
As for (a), it is more correct to say that "If you suspect a raise behind you will mess up your pot odds...you probably don't want to call the initial bet by the player in front of you." Or, if you...

Re: Ignorant Question from a 3000+ Poster
Taking another stab:
1) Well, the short answer is that you bet because you think you have the best hand. The long answer is that the decision to bet is based on pot equity, NOT pot odds. If you...

Re: Ignorant Question from a 3000+ Poster
In short, you should certainly count the money you have already contributed to the pot when deciding whether to call a raise or 3-bet.
It is obvious that your decision to call the initial bet...

Re: Call to river with AK?
The set is one reason you discount your overcard outs to about 1.5 outs each. Even when you hit them you lose.

Getting 6.75:1 pot odds, looks like a clear call to me with seven outs giving him 5.6:1 odds to win. EDIT: on the turn, of course. ...

Thanks for the reply. I agree that a raise is a poor choice. Not trying to argue, just to learn - why wouldn't the possibility of a raise behind affect your decision to call? If you are not...

Re: I check, I check, I call with a flush
You may be counting too many outs if you think this is a value raise. The 3rd-nut flush isn't necessarily going to win the pot enough to make this a value raise. Some other overcards are out there...

Re: I check, I check, I call with a flush
Knowing what happened after your river decision may be skewing the advice here. A raise behind is a definite possibility with this board, and I really don't want to pay another BB to show down. ...

Re: AQ from the sb, did I commit FPS
First thing is first - UTG+1 is a fucktard. Don't get down on yourself for being slowplayed, you will win more in the long run against this kind of play than you lose in these hands. AA is not a...
