Default What if you get no playable cards at all?

I've just started playing 6 max. What do u do if u get a cold run of cards? To avoid being blinded away I have to play those bad hands or not? What if flop doesn't hit what so ever?

If you get blinded off then your bankroll is too small

Cold runs happen. That's why we play for the long run. Who cares about a few hundred/thousand hands.

It's about patience and bankroll.

In cash games there's more of a long term view of things. Losing one stack or being blinded because of a cold run of cards shouldn't effect things. Bankroll!

that and if you're talking about a tournament, then you have to make some moves.

You have to get out of the kiddie pool and make some moves. Just double up then triple up.

Check out deacsoft's post in this thread. Never seen the issue addressed any better than this.

Just think about the long run. You'll get your good run sooner or later. It doesn't matter if you are getting blinded off on a particular table. It's not like you're in a tourney or anything.

Hands are independent of one another. If playing a hand is bad amongst a session of good hands, its still bad amongst a session of bad hands. You aren't magically able to win instead of lose with bad hands just because you haven't played any in a while. (I realize you're more likely to win without a showdown if it looks like you play really tight).
