Re: 44 button hand
More importanly, assuming he didn't have the best hand at the turn, the raise pre-flop put enough extra $$$ to allow him to draw out on the river.

I would raise the turn.

I don't see how raising the turn can be correct. You have 3 players to act after you, including the player that 3-bet pre-flop and has been...

Re: Marginal Hand #1
Pre-flop is fine. Raise the flop, if you get 3-bet, call then fold if you don't hit the 7 on the turn. But raising the flop is essential to get a better idea as to where you're at.

Re: Am I Right? SSH Concept
I didn't read the book as of yet, but if it's a really loose table with 4-6 to the flop even with a raise in EP, then this is a call. If you don't hit your set, fold.
Again, you must be 90%-95%...

I normally do 3-bet this flop, but on UB, I play regularly with the same players, so I do try to mix up my play a little bit. Anyways, I would be interested to know if BB would have still played the...

I don't think you played this incorrectly. You got to a showdown the cheapest way.
If you can fold to a raise, the bet out the turn.

Why raise with A9s with more players toa act. You run the risk of being 3-bet (happenend), and this is the type of hand you want lots of callers for. Capping can't be right either after...

I don't like this, but i think a 3-bet is correct.
Hopefully, at worst, unknown has AK for a split and UTG has QQ/JJ.

Re: QJs UTG, HU with overcards
Calling pre-flop is fine given the generally loose 3/6 games on Party.
Calling the flop was fine. You're able to continue with the hand if a Q, J, 9, K or any heart falls on the turn. Seeing...

Re: Can I safely fold?
You are probably beat but must not fold. Players will start raising your bets everytime a scare card comes on the river and then you'll be on your way to a tough session. Just make the crying call.

Re: Did I play this right?
I'd overbet the pot in the situation to hopefully eliminate possible flush draws.
If you're re-raised however, now you have a decision to make.

Re: Party 2/4: Bluff-bet this river?
The only way you're winning this pot is by betting. The only problem obviously is whether CO will call or not. I think since he's called all the way (probably w/a weak A), he will not fold on the...

Re: AKo on the Button
Classifying UTG as a decent player is not a sufficient read.
Without a sufficient read, the way you played the hand was fine, i would have played it the same way.

Re: Not-so-hidden outs. Turn play?
I'd lean towards betting. By betting out the turn, you might be able to get your opponent to lay down better hands than yours (eg, a middle pair). By checking the turn, you opponent is much more...

Going into the turn, your only clean out is a Q that's not a spade. a K or a J gives you top pair which isn't bad and is possible to give you the best hand, but could also give someone else 2 pair...

Re: KK and he keeps swinging
Unless you're absolutly positive that this player has AA or a set, it is too early to go into check/call mode on the turn, i think that play loses bets in the long run.

Re: KK and he keeps swinging
Assuming you have no read on the player, 3-bet the flop, if he caps bet out again on the turn. If you're raised on the turn, call and check/call on the river.
If you're up against AA, so be it,...

Re: 55 Hand
I don't see a problem here. With no big cards on the flop, I love the raise even though the probable intention of getting the pot heads up didn't work.
I think betting the river is a 50/50...
