Re: QQ - River brings an overcard and 3 to a flush. Value bet it?

Easy value bet, fold to a raise. You've shown nothing but unrelenting aggression throughout the hand, villain likely doesn't make a bluff check-raise here. You're ahead far more often than you're...

Re: AQs - Bet this river with 2nd high pair? (6-max)

[ QUOTE ]
Rich, how are you going to pitch for the A's now that you're in the #2 slot?

Is a crying call in order here? (6-max)

Table is loose, aggressive, and extremely fishy. I'd be shocked if any of them recognize the name "Sklansky".

AQs - Bet this river with 2nd high pair? (6-max)

Table is loose and aggressive. Opponents will bet just about anything because betting is fun.

Re: Flopped set goes awry

I think you gotta raise this flop so that gutshots and backdoor flush draws fold. Don't let longshot draws in cheaply.

Re: A tough turn call.... with top pair on monotone board

Fold preflop, you're out of position and don't know how many limpers you'll get. Fold when its 2 more bets back to you. This is a costly leak in your game, you shouldn't have a turn decision in the...

Re: 3-Bet the Turn HU with paired board

I think the turn 3-bet is a little wreckless, I'd call and see what the river brings you. I think you can get away with check-raising a heart.

Re: AKs - Why do I feel so lost heads up?

This is a tough situation. You're almost always correct to bet any flop with unimproved AK, this is certainly no exception.

The turn brings you a 4 flush, so combined with your overcards, a turn...

Re: Do I call this?

You must call, a lot of players will take a shot and bluff any given river. Most of the time they'll show you a better hand here, but you're best here at least enough of the time that calling is +EV.

Six players in, including me and the blinds.

I am in the BB with JQs- raise for value or fold?

Re: flopped middle set and turned boat... agressive enough??

Cap the turn, raise the river, call any further reraises. You're best here most of the time.

Re: A bad fold?

Good fold, I really don't see how you're still ahead here. Best case scenario you're beating a fool and behind 2 pair, drawing to 8 outs. However, I think you're more likely behind a set or drawing...

Re: AQ flops Q then turns A -- advice please

3-bet the turn, check/call the river if it gets capped. Villain may have a set, but I think more often you're ahead of a worse 2 pair.

Re: 55 hand...monster pot

With that many limpers I think this is a safe preflop call, and its an even easier call the second time around. Nice hand, well played.

Re: AK - I hate my play

I think I'd end up betting the flop as and calling a raise almost every time, but check/calling the flop may very well be the right play. It is especially attractive if you bet unimproved overcards...

Re: Simple River Question...I need to be yelled at...

No way you can 3-bet, were you suggesting a fold? I think you're probably beat but you must call.

Re: What hands do you cold call?

It is read-dependent, but usually I'll only cold-call with AQs, KQs, sometimes TT, and occasionally AJs. This question also depends on the number of cold-callers ahead of you.

I play it the same, although no one ever folds the flop so I'm wondering if check/calling the flop intending on folding the turn unimproved is the way to go...
