Default 55 hand...monster pot

Is my cold calling two bets (twice!!) preflop a monster mistake?? I figured I was getting at least 4-1 with the 3 limpers (maybe 5-1 if you include the BB), and with the implied odds that if I hit my 7.5-1 shot on the flop, I would be well paid off. The second 2 bet call is an obvious one IMHO. The pot is getting huge and my 7.5-1 shot is easily worth it.

I think your play was perfect. The call PF is ok because there's so many players in the pot, there's a ton of money in the pot, and your implied odds are huge. Nice hand.

You played it fine, I hate it when monkeys like UTG limp-reraise with total crap when I've limped in and called a raise behind me or cold-called with a small pocket pair.

The first time you are putting 2 bets in when there are already 6.5 in the pot and if just the limpers come along, you are getting 9.5:2 needing to make up 5.5sb post flop on the odds to hit your set so a good call. By the time it gets back to you pre-flop there are 19sb in the pot, so you have odds better than the 7.5;1 to hit your set here just in outright odds, good second call. After that you played it great.

Default An additonal question....

I've flopped a monster hand, but given the coordinated nature of the board, the huge pot, and the size of the field is three betting the flop the right move here? If I safe card comes, I can easily raise the turn, trapping more people for 2 bets?

With that many limpers I think this is a safe preflop call, and its an even easier call the second time around. Nice hand, well played.

Yes. Your equity is huge, get your money in while you can. Nobody appears inclined to fold.
