Re: could you lay this down
Your right, the lead out on the flop was my best bet, but with 60$ in the pot I would have had to bet at least 30, and a check raise at that point would suck. Had 3 in behind me at the time.

Re: Semi-Bluff right or wrong?
O.k. clearly this should go to poker theory. Opinions from other NL players were needed and I don't know if I would get those from poker theory readers. Im viewing this in long term. Pos/Neg ev is...

Re: Semi-Bluff right or wrong?
Thanks, I agree with you that pot equity is going to control your move. But the gambler in me wants all his money. I sometimes get the urge to go for the stack and not whats in the middle. Limit...

Re: Semi-Bluff right or wrong?
Granted the post is hypothetical (post was written quickly, Ac on board already, my bad). This concept does however come up very often for me when I have a good/great drawing hand and I know that...

Re: Semi-Bluff right or wrong?
Your right I missed it I would be first to act, but the question still remains a semibluff into a made hand that wont lay down. Thanx again I will adjust my post.

Re: Semi-Bluff right or wrong?
Yes he checks the flop, action is now to me. My question is now a semi-bluff to a player I don't think I can get a fold from.

Re: This hand still bugs me. $500 max NL
I think your fold is correct for a couple of reasons, his small bet on the flop looks like a inticing bet, "Please bet me off my hand!". If he is a good player this is a great bet because it would...

Re: Why is QJs one of my worst performers?
IMO, in middle position calling two cold with this hand is unprofitable no matter what. Dumping money into the pot when you may have to make really tricky decisions post-flop isnt fun. With this...

1. Dont see a problem, if you have a line on your player you may check call.
2. Raise on the flop might work because the board is somewhat coordinated you can see where your at. But nothing wrong...
