Default Semi-Bluff right or wrong?

Opponent is on the button, a great player tight aggressive smart etc. etc. Im in the big blind with KQc he raises I call, everyone folds, heads up to the flop. Board is Qh,Jc,Ac. Both of us have equal stacks of 500$ after the initial raise(Money in the middle isnt relavent to this question). I make an exploratory bet and he raises. I know he has a big part of this flop from his body position. Im thinking at least AK with a possible Ac or two pair or made straight. Given I know he's holding something I cant get him off of, whats my play? Push it in? Is the semi-bluff good if you cant get him to fold?

Semi-bluff is not a good play if the player will not fold. It is in fact a bad one. Check behind.

The action seems screwed up - So you both checked the flop? What was the turn card?

Edit your post. In it you say he checks.

If you think it will buy you a cheaper turn, then do it. But since this player is aggressive, I would check/call the flop. Against top two, you are about 57/43.

Yes he checks the flop, action is now to me. My question is now a semi-bluff to a player I don't think I can get a fold from.

Didn't you say he was on the button? You would normally be acting first there...ahhh...forget it. Move all in.

Your right I missed it I would be first to act, but the question still remains a semibluff into a made hand that wont lay down. Thanx again I will adjust my post.

NO. Do not semi- bluff into a player who will not fold to it. That takes away the bluff aspect of it.
