Re: 10/20 SB Hand 2
My mistake, I assumed it was a bet/call flop. In this case, check/folding looks like a possibility, especially with no reads. He could still be popping the flop because it was a somewhat low flop...

Re: 10/20 SB Hand 2
I don't quite understand check/folding the turn (this line was stated before TomBrooks who's insane). Villain has shown no aggression postflop yet. Secondly, it is 5handed and he is really the...

Regardless of his accuracy, which is difficult to prove or disprove, as is the case with most theories, perhaps people are missing his point.
In 2003, Moneymaker blew up the online poker industry,...

Re: I hate this, playing defense with AA
I see Mr. Nutter having a nine, while SB's flop coldcall/turn check raise says to me minimum set, maybe a straight.
Trying to get confidence in my reads and would love to know what everyone has.

Re: Top Boat
One hand.
If he's got it he deserves my money.
How can this be a fold? Three guys, two kings. I've seen low boats go nuts on occasion.
One hand. No way this is a fold.

I understand why you raised, but he likely flopped a boat.
Still I'd call down, cause he sucks.

Re: QQ vs. 3 bet, Ace on Flop
Using poor logic is what separates fish and those who can make a few bucks from this beautiful game. QQ on the button is a great hand, regardless of the board. If you check the flop and call a...

Re: 10/20 6max: river fold - A9o
A free river card is better when you're drawing and looking to catch something and fold UI. A free showdown is handy when you have a small holding that isn't likely to improve but may be best.

Re: inducing bluffs
But you get the same amount of BBs if you bet out turn and river. Furthermore, if your so convinced hed bluff, then why do you assume he has a ten?

Re: Anyone fold that overpair on the turn ??

If the button called the turn then you could fold. Since the button folded, call down.

Re: River folds - routine?
I guess given the limit, it may be more likely that hes beating you. I dont really know. I personally have no problem calling both, and would likely win more than 1/9 of the hands.

Re: River
A bet may be in order as you are probably facing nines with a worse kicker, though a jack may be scared off by the queen.
Id say bet though.

Re: Suspected free card play, correct counter?
This could be a free card play, but more likely the preflop raiser is just raising you because he has overcards or an overpair, or because he thinks you've got [censored]. Value bet river, since it...

I like betting river because so many hacks have to see all five cards with anything. It works for me usually.

Re: a typical worthless hand by me
Bet flop. It masks your hand. If a king comes, regardless if he has it, he might try something because he thinks your jacks or tens aren't good anymore. Also, make flush drawers pay to stay in.

Re: A hand with many textbook concepts
I should've made that clear, my fault. I was thinking the same thing. At my average table, I raise that hand in the BB almost always. But clearly this is a different situation and a call is best.

The preflop call is iffy, Hopefully someone else knows the correct answer. Domination is possible, but broadway suited looks too good to call with.

Re: Help me with these horribly played hands.
Hand 1: I don't call the preflop raise with k8o, however looking at everyone else's responses, I assume I should be. Though I'd only think about it against high pfr players.
Hand 2: I always bet...
