Default 88--Wait until the turn to raise?

Should I wait for a safe turn card or pump the flop since I have players trapped who may be drawing to undercards?

SB is a 45/15 LAG, UTG is a LAG, and MP is a TAG.

Hmm. I think I would raise the flop, but it cant be a bad play to just call, becuase obviously you're giving everyone the odds to chase anyway. Are you shutting down if an A or K hits?

If you raise the flop, do you check through when the nine hits?

If not, will you check through any turn cards? Which ones?

Gotta raise the flop otherwise you are giving people odds to draw to their two over cards(even a 10 9).

No way.

If I raise the flop, I'm betting any turn if it's checked to me.

I think this is a reasonable time to wait until the turn to raise. He is up against 3 villains, so potentially as many as 6 overcards. If he waits for a non-ace, non-paint turn to raise, his hand will be much less vulnerable since there is only 1 card to come. I like it. The only problem with raising the turn is that if anybody 3-bets you, you're hating life. Against opponents likely to 3-bet on the turn, I'd raise the flop to define my hand earlier.

wasn't this in small stakes hold'em comparing raising AA overpair on flop vs. raising TT overpair?

I think waiting until the turn to pop is correct here.

Yeah, but a big reason to raise the flop is that a lot of players will peel the flop with undercards to my 88 but fold the turn UI, so my equity on the flop is pretty high.

I raise the flop. In light of the preflop action, you might well get a chance to 3-bet, and that possibility could encourage those with overcards to fold.
