On the other hand
On the other hand, if you can put one of your opponents on an 8, your pot equity is drastically reduced.
Here is the flop equity with one of your opponents having any 8 (except 86o-82o).

Some PokerStove Results
Here are some pokerstove results for this hand. Against random hands, your pot equity does not go down by that much when the Q hits (less than I thought). This definitely supports 3-betting the...

Re: T9s in the BB - proper use of the CR?
I like it. I would not want to be betting this into that large field, but the pot is big. So, you get the perfect opportunity to protect your hand. Note, if there were a better and several...

Re: Playing multiple tables?
If you play on stars anyway, you might want to consider trying UB. The games are similar, but UB has MiniView. It makes multitabling nice. I often play three tables at UB and maximize/minimize one...

Re: Incorrect plays?
I'll probably fold this preflop.
Other than that, it looks good, I'll play it the same way.

Re: Ladies
I know just what you mean about worrying that people are taking a shot at you. I do it all the time, and it costs me money. In this situation, the pot is large, so call the turn raise.
When...

These are interesting ideas. Have you looked at your PT stats to see if there is data to support your hypothesis? I'll check some later.

Re: Loose call pre-flop (passive game)?
This might be a little loose, but it's probably okay for a stars .25/.50 table. You said that the game was loose, but it is also extremely crucial that the game be passive. You do not want to have...

OP might not know all the abbreviations (I don't even know the ones in the last post). TOP = theory of poker. WLLH = winning low limit holdem.

Wow, in this small pot, I'll probably call the raise and check/fold UI on the turn. On the other hand if you think that you have a solid read...

Re: Turn checkraise lay down TPTK?
The turn is definitely a call. You have real outs to win (assuming you are behind) and are getting great odds. The river is closer, but even if you think it's a close situation (I don't think it's...

Re: Bet River for Value?
Well, you only have one opponent. The river card is not too scary as it probably only completes a King high straight draw. It is somewhat likely that your opponent would have raised the turn with...

As per DMBFan23's suggestion, here is a simple Bayesian analysis of the river. We don't really need to apply Bayes's theorem becuase the condition (MP2 bets the river) already happened so its...
