Re: This time I\'m the trapped fish

I would raise it PF if they were sooooted...j/k

Given your position and the players involved I don't like the flop raise, and while there's a chance some of your 8 outs ar dirty, I think you...

Re: Thirddan vs. Moozh...lines against 2+2er...

Hehe...I wasn't there yet, but I like your line, mostly because you totally owned him on this hand. (Moozh = fish) /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I might actually pop it 1 time on the flop since I...

Re: flop decision

So basically you'd change the plan to fold immediately to a 3-bet? If we're assuming that you a 3-bet means drawing dead, which might be a reasonable assumption given the aggression and...

Re: flop decision

I guess I was considering a wide range of hands might 3-bet here KK, JJ-77? Perhaps too wide?

Edit: and the obvious Qx, but are we drawing dead too often to continue here?

Re: flop decision

Great post and discussion, and I think absent the uber-lag I think Errant's line is more viable.

Here I like raising more. If we're assuming everyone but MP folds:

If called on the flop then...

Re: Falling in love with AQo?

I'm pretty sure I've played the same table as you before and you're solid, so I have no doubts that this play will work out for you in the long run.

Re: Falling in love with AQo?

Its a little tough being OOP, but its probably good since you're likely going to outplay this fish HU postflop.

Re: Way ahead or way behind?

I don't think your logic really changes. The only hands that I see raising you on the river, assuming he's not overaggro, are essentially AK, AA, KK, 99, Ax 2-pair of some sort. If there's any...

Re: SSHE Shuts me up (semi-long)

What I thought was interesting about your original post was finding the line where one concept expressed in HEPFAP applies to a particular situation vs SSH in a different situation. Some of the...

Re: Non-nut four flush w/weak overs... pump the flop?

I think overcards considered and the great stats of the raiser, a 3-bet wouldn't be out of line here. The turn and river are fairly straightforward from here whether you get capped or not if you...

Re: Top pair/no kicker vs. everybody

This hand is pretty tricky to play, and unfortunately the field is pretty large. I can actually see merit both for betting or checking the flop. The reason I don't like checking the flop is that...

Re: Is it worth it to draw????

I agree with you here, but I suppose from my brief experiences at low limits the frequency of solids and maniacs are on the fringe, and a much higher frequency of the time a 3-bet is for value and...

Re: I\'ll take a McRiver Bet to Go!

Perhaps I should rephrase that. We don't know anything about him, but if you are in position and he checks to you, there's a greater than average chance he's drawing rather than having a made hand...

Re: I\'ll take a McRiver Bet to Go!

I do this occasionally, but I like it much more if you were in position. I think a calling station with any pair will see the river here enough times to make it unprofitable for you OOP, but I could...

Re: betting out with UI overs on the flop

First of all I usually only bet UI overs with a smaller field since you're not going to win the pot often enough UI with a larger field (5+).

Re: Is it worth it to draw????

Starting with no read do we assume they are solid? I agree that solid 3-betting standards are generally looser than my original statement, but there are also tons of passive preflop folks who only...

Re: Is it worth it to draw????

If we were to assume that the SB's raising standards are not overly loose we might put him on a range AA-TT, AK. That would give:

3 AA, 1 KK, 6 AK for you to be drawing dead.
3 QQ, 3 JJ, 6 TT to...

Bet and river the 7 of diamonds.

I think this line is best. You gain the most and lose the least here.

Re: Missed flush draw in big pot - call river anyway?

I think your hand is too weak to call down with the counter-aggression shown, even with the giant pot. HU on the turn I like this bet if you think you can get a high PP to fold, but most people at...

Re: TPGK vs. TAG stop and go on the turn

See esspo's post for the line.

The idea is that we put the TAG on a range of hands that fall into two categories. Hands we crush KK - 88, AT-A8, and hands we are behind or tie like AK - AJ, AA,...

Re: pumping a draw

You have to bet this river. You have a very strong flush, and I certainly can see K, Q, J or even T sticking around to the river here. If you're up against the straight flush, they would have...

Re: TPGK vs. TAG stop and go on the turn

Doesn't this seem like a good place for the standard ahead/behind line? Alternately I might CR the flop to get out MP and then check-call down.
