Re: Am I a LAG?

Given that the button posts a live time charge of $3 (and thus the raise only costs CDC $3, not $6) I think this is a good raise.

I take the free card on the flop. Thats a big part of the...

Table is very loose passive except for the 3 2+2ers present... who are all extremely LAG. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

9/18 - T7o in the BB and a turn decision

Lucky Chances 9/18. Good game, but not outstanding.

To set the stage, I had a great run of cards early in the session, leading up to this hand. So I've been raising pre-flop a lot. And pushing...

Re: Preflop decision: ATo

So we're limping with ATo in MP after one bad EP limper? This just doesn't sound right either. What if we held A9o? KTo?

folding is by far the worst option. you have one guy that plays almosst any 2 cards limping to you and you're on the button with ATo. why would you ever fold?

Can you explain why folding is the best option here? You've shown why you disagree with raising, and although I don't agree I think your argument has merit, but why is folding better than...

Without looking at any sims this seems like a good spot to limp.

I think limping and folding are close. I think raising is bad for the reasons described in my previous...

Re: Preflop decision: ATo

The fact that the hand becomes easier to play when raised would push this into a raise, IMO.

In what way does the hand become easier to play when raised? It unlikely to narrow the field. And it...

Re: Preflop decision: ATo

I fold. Raising is not going to accomplish anything. The loose players behind you will coldcall and you'll end up with mediocre position in a big multi-way pot with a hand that doesn't play well...

Re: FOR DAVID SKLANSKY OR ED MILLER.....

If you are playing in those games, shouldn't you be able to figure out on your own how applicable the ideas presented in Ed's book are?

When I capped pre-flop, I knew there were going to be some fireworks on this hand. The rest of the table wisely got out of our way and left the three of us in a post-flop pissing contest to...

Re: Jacks...this should be good

I think that the only street that is marginally debatable is the turn. You're getting 15:1 on your call with the third nut flush draw and a longshot draw (22:1) to your set.

Other than that, it...

Re: 2+2 private stud/8 table?

I love stud/8 but frankly tight table stud/8 is even more boring than tight table limit hold'em.

Vehn, you're probably right. I've never played in a tight S/8 game. I'm pretty sure that the...

Re: 15/30 AJs turn decision

interesting. on a board like this, I wouldn't expect to be best that often. I'd still call down, since there are enough draws to justify it, but I don't feel confident that I'll win.

Re: Q7s on the baton

I think I'll save it and use it for...

2+2 private stud/8 table?

Re: Q7s on the baton

I think the only thing interesting is preflop. Part of me wants to raise. Someone set me straight.

Re: Q7s on the baton

Qu'est-ce que c'est, le baton?

Play looks standard. An interesting question is what you do on the turn if you don't hit your two-pair and SB bets into you again?
