Re: justification for pfr?

Ok - I read every post. Thanks for the replies.

The one poster is correct - I don't just follow what a book says because it says it. I want to understand conflicts to decide for myself. I...

justification for pfr?

Hi -

I think I understand that at little limits pfr is to make mistaken calls pay the most possible. At party $0.50/1 where there's little hesitation to coldcall or play lousy cards this seems...

Re: posting tournament results (like wsop)

I meant do they discuss it here in microlimits forum? I'd like to avoid seeing the results before ESPN broadcasts it.

posting tournament results (like wsop)

Hi -

When something like the WSOP is over do people post results here and/or talk it over? This probably sounds a little dumb but because ESPN delays broadcasting it for so long, finding out who...

Re: Pot odds question: chasing with a garbage pair

With your scenario, my short answer would be "the pot better be damn big" before I start thinking anything.

Maybe it's just the way I see things, but IMO there's another principle here to...

Re: Another fun give me a line hand.

Personally I'd raise, mainly for cheap info but hoping for folds. stats can never tell you what someone is currently playing and TT short-handed is no slouch. He doesn't appear afraid of K but with...

Re: So lets discuss the effectiveness of check-raising...

I c-r the flop with a vulnerable hand against limpers when a nearby bettor has shown some aggression (his nature or pf action). You have to set it up so that limpers face coldcalling - in a...

Re: 1/2 VPIP

Man, if 17-19 are tight I wonder what mine would be called at 12-13% :-) After a thousand hands, playing most from later positions and using sshe pf chart, I just haven't caught the cards to play...

curious about ed miller gospel

Hi -

I'm new here but saw very quickly that sshe/ed miller are for the most part considered unquestionable truth. Why is that? Are his plays demonstrably true (you've seen this yourself)? Is...

Re: Microlimits needs a library

A great idea Aaron.

I'd like to get my name on this thread to volunteer for whatever (I don't have a web site/html skills but am willing to do whatever grunt work someone might come up with). ...

Re: More 2nd Pair Confusion

But who would call pf from the button knowing only for certain that there's one other bettor? Any hand worth calling there is wortth raising, so why didn't he? It doesn't make sense he'd be on a...

Thanks both.

That article link is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! Obviously I'll have to start reading their magazine from now on so I don't miss this kind of stuff.

This place is...

multi-table tips

Anyone know a thread or two with advice/tips on multi-tabling?
I can play two (pp $0.50/1 or $1/2) but maybe because it was my first try, I just don't see how anyone can do four (or six/eight. ...

difference in little limits on party?

Hi -

I have experience playing winning cards but this is my first try with HE and online poker. Started on party $0.50/1 limit a few weeks ago to get my feet wet and shake off the rust. ...

Re: dumb question - which position is the \"cut-off\"?

Thanks.

Obviously I'm new here but I'm wondering, are we supposed to thank or at least acknowledge when someone answers our question(s)? Or does everyone just assume OP got the answer and that's...

dumb question - which position is the \"cut-off\"?

Sorry - keep seeing CO in the posted hand histories and although I know it's "cut-off" I don't know where that is. Is it the position just before the button?

I searched here; it isn't on the...
