Re: Advice for dealing with Calling Stations?

I understand it's a good thing. Just not when they hit. He caught his ten on the river.

Would you have done anything differently?

Advice for dealing with Calling Stations?

No reads as I just sat down. I figured I was killing any pot odds he had at each juncture. Yet he kept drawing. At what point do you jus throw up your hands and say, I can't stop them from drawing...

Re: JJ 6max crique?

I guess what I don't understand is why you called the turn. Either you think he's got a king, and you're drawing to two cards (fold), or you think he's full of [censored], in which case you have to...

Re: Problem with AKo

Tough spot here. With UTG and MP calling after the ace hits, I think it's unlikely MP has AA. But JJ is very possible. I think I play it exactly as you did, except I check-call on the river. ...

Re: (No Content) Why is everyone so damn defensive here?

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about, because I am such a better player than you. I mean, I've played 3/6 before. 3/6!!!

(Had to be done back.)

I agree with you that it's...

Re: What do you make of this 3-bet?

I could see someone calling a raise with QQ. Read dependent, of course. AA and KK, you're probably right there.

(No Content) Why is everyone so damn defensive here?

I've been browsing this forum for a few months now, more often in the last few weeks. My question is: why, when someone gets their poker strategy challenged, are they so quickly to turn defensive? ...

Re: What do you make of this 3-bet?

I see what you're saying, but I guess where I'm coming from if I'm holding trip jacks is that I'm assuming you're holding AA/KK/QQ. I'm not going to push too hard, but I want to keep building up this...

Re: Poker Starts $11 Rebuy... How would you have played this hand??

Instead of check-raising, I would've bet out somewhere near a pot-sized bet on the flop. This way if he raises you, you get some more information as to what kind of hand he's holding. I like the...

Re: A K-hand. Standard?

I think you played this right. Most scenarios I can think of here have you beat. 77, 66, 76s, possibly KK, AA but I doubt it. What hands are you beating here? KQs? KJs? I think you made the...

Re: Flopping Bottom Set W/ Deep Stacks

I call here. If he's got AA or 88, good for him, and you pay him off. Otherwise I think he's holding A /images/graemlins/club.gif x /images/graemlins/club.gif, and you're favored to win this hand.
