Since the card that paired is the turn card, I think it's far less dangerous than a flop card. The hands you are afraid of are 99, JJ, QQ, but these are unlikely since you didn't get raised on the flop/turn. Also you don't have the nut str, but depending on the player KT should be an unlikely hand to call a raise with.

I think it's very likely you still have the best hand, so you should bet whatever amount you think Villain will call, probably at least 25%.

Waiting too see oppinions from others, and to know what your opponent had there.

I think it was fine, one card str8s are vulnerable and 2 flush draws on board as well, so I am not too surprized to see your opponent show AQs here with flush draw and TPTK.

And I hate it when str8 is made with T instead on the river, recent nightmares...

The 8 does very little to devalue your hand. Bet $50.

I agree with you here, but is any worse hand going to call?

A loose passive will easy call enough times to be profitable.

It's also not in your best interest to show you raised with jto unless you are getting value out of it.

Why not? I like people to think I raise with hands that I shouldn't.

You prefer for them to have you on a very wide range of hands.

But the more times you get to showdown only premium starting hands and premium made hands the more they should fear you.

You don't want to showdown a weakly played jto when you raise on the button.

I could easily see a set of 9's played liked this. I don't know what you meant about getting raised on the flop but villain bet out. Then check called the turn due to the 1 card straight. The boated up on the river, a PERFECT time to go for a river check-raise.

And the turn card pairing has about zero impact on the hand. If villain had a set I don't think he was folding to that bet on the turn anyways, so it's not like you can rule out a boat just because the turn card paired. Unless villain was in with 89, but 99 is way more likely.

Anyways, about the hand, checking behind is fine. On obvious hands like one card straights and open trips, there's no reason to push too hard as you're only getting caled if you're behind/tied and possibly being freerolled.

Villain MIGHT call a 1/2 pot bet here, but generally I think he's folding. And, if he has a naked ten and decides to CR the river (dunno if he'd do that) then you're in a world of hurt and he's put you to a very tough decision.
