No reads on Villain except he hasn't really gotten out of line yet. He got his stack by flopping a set of Kings and getting lots of action with mediocre hands.

Wow, this is a really tough spot. The only hand I see that's beating you would be 88. Could he play A8s this way? What about A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]x [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]? I would have a lot of trouble laying this down, but what do I know.

I was wondering about AXc, but figured if he's aggressive enough to push here with that, I would've noticed that way before this hand.

ack. His possible hands: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]x[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 88, A8. I don't think he has AA because no pfr. But unless he was very laggy, he probably would not play A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]x[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or A8 like that.
I hate to lay this down... I would like some info the player first |

I call here. If he's got AA or 88, good for him, and you pay him off. Otherwise I think he's holding A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] x [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and you're favored to win this hand.

I would raise the flop a bit more, to $50 or so, or occassionally just flat call and get aggressive on a safe turn card. In any case, the reraiser could very likely have Axc and figures AK will fold, or has A8 and wants to destroy any drawing odds you may have. I doubt 88 plays this way unless hes a very strong, exceptionally aggressive player with a good read on you. Online I think it's far more likely for you to be ahead here. I call.

I would REALLY try to recall how he played the set of Kings. Was it flopped? If so, was there an Ace on the flop? Was he smoothcalling, with the set of Kings and others got the money in the pot "for" him? This is a TOUGH laydown because he wants that money in the pot NOW and the only hand that seems to beat you is 88. (AA limp AFTER a caller doesn't seem likely at ALL right?) Like mentioned, A8 like this is VERY aggressive and all I could do if I were in your shoes is to compare this to what you've seen w/ the Kings...... hope this helps, but I DO lean towards a call? (Very slight lean)
