Re: Small Stack Strategy for multi-tabling? any opinions?

I like your post, and I dig that strategy. See Ed's book is geared towards beginners, and the small stack strategy is geared towards making NLHE into a 2 street game, by waiting for premium hands,...

Re: 7stud hi/lo vs. Omaha hi/lo

Excellent info. I see what you mean about the inherent differences of the two, I never really thought of that aspect.

Also, this is interesting, You mentioned how getting counterfited or...

7stud hi/lo vs. Omaha hi/lo

Hey gang,

About a year ago, I got kinda burnt out at hold em, and started playing a lot of Omaha 8b. However, I have been playing more 7stud hi/lo lately, and I find it somewhat easier for me...

Re: worst session ever (no content)

for what it is worth, after reading Daniel N.'s chapter on TDL in SS2, I sent him an e-mail asking him what he thought one should have for a TDL Bankroll, and he replied about 4 days later suggesting...

Re: Palm Springs?

I played at Agua Caliente once, and lets just say if you weren't on Social Security, you did not fit in. I found that you could not get anyone to fold any draw, and there were always at least 4...

Re: Saturday afternoon in San Diego, cardroom + casino question

Well, IMHO, for all SD area Indian Casinos, I prefer Pechanga, but that is a little further north from San Diego. Sycuan is pretty good from what I have heard, havent played poker there. If you...

23456 after 1st draw at 2-7 Triple Draw question

Ok, question, if you have a 23456 after the 1st draw, how do you play it? Do you ditch the 6 and draw for the 7 or maybe an 8? Do you ditch any other card and draw? Do you fold it? I had it twice...

Re: No limit Omaha now offered at...

I agree about the low buy in, but I still thought I should let folks know about the game. Like I had said, they just started it, and they have lots of $40 NL Hold Em tables, so they probably started...

Re: SS2: TDL Chapter is Awful

2-7 single draw lowball, (aka Kansas City Lowball) has been around for years, but triple draw is pretty new, I guess.

Re: SS2: TDL Chapter is Awful

I also have to respectfully disagree with the poster. I too have been successful with the game after reading the chapter. Especially the breakdown on hands to play pre 1st draw. Could you maybe...

Re: SS2 triple draw chapter

I loved this chapter, and agree that it is the best in the book. As far as UB goes, I see 1-2 and 2-4 games going all the time, but they seem to break up out of nowhere, and usually when I am stuck...

Re: omaha8b live game blunder

I only called it the holy grail cause every book I have read on the subject seems to agree that it is the best starting hand. From experience, I like AA2K double suited better.

Re: What do you guys think of Zen and the Art of Poker?

I'd agree with the majority opinion. Good for advice on staying calm, being patient, etc. But that is about it.

Re: Triple Draw Lowball Books?

Yeah, and they even have ace to five and deuce to seven. Trouble is, usually there is only a .25 - .50 and 30-60 goin. the cheaper one is great to practice without losing to much, but I would prefer...
