Re: Rainbow version of SomethingClever hand - A9o
I'm on the fence. I thought I liked it at first, but I think I'm supporting the call down a little bit more now. The checkraise is great if you don't get reraised, but if you do, it sucks since you...

Re: Are these standard?
Hand 1: Raise PF, Check call river.
Hand 2: Raise or fold flop, leaning to fold. If BB is passive, I usually raise for a free river.
Hand 3: Read dependent since the UTG is playing like a...

Re: Follow-up: Some hands
Hand 1: Fine.
Hand 2: Read dependent, but I would call the turn. You could be drawing to alot of outs there.
Hand 3: Call down. This is HU, you could be getting turn raised with a lower Q or...

Re: Kill myself, or what?
I'm not saying that I will sustain a 0.02BB/hand loss in the BB over an infinite sample size. My point is that alot of money is made through strong play in the BB, which is supported by that stat.

Do you mean I'm not defending enough, or not playing well enough after the flop?
[/ QUOTE ]
Both.

Re: Kill myself, or what?
Your BB play is a big leak, and you are generally a bit too tight. Are you playing multiple tables?

Re: Showdown Bound?
I think the play is fine, although at a lower limit I may call just to see what BB cold calls with. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
I really can't see what BB has here. Maybe A8? I guess he puts you...

Re: 15-30 party
I think I'd cap this PF, as SB could easily be putting you on a steal. This makes your decision alot easier as anything you beat, the SB would usually fold on the flop or turn, and if he beats you,...

Re: 87s - river play
[ QUOTE ]
Nevertheless my main message is this is an automatic flop bet and then we don't have to have this discussion.
[/ QUOTE ]
Definitely true, although if I check this, I fold it.

Re: Good spot for free showdown raise?
After getting raised on the turn? If I was villain and had any of those hands, I'd throw em away faster than I can click on the fold button. /images/graemlins/smile.gif I'd maayybbee call down...

Re: SB defense, too aggro ?
For SB defense, I generally want high card power. I'd be more inclined to 3-bet with an A2 than QJ.
However, after you made your decision, your play is fine - although I hate that river card. ...

Why not bet the river? I feel like there are some hands here you'll get called by that you're ahead of.

What hands do you think villain would call with that OP beats?

Re: Showdown % too low? How to see more showdowns?
One more comment I wanna make is that even this combined Went to Showdown and Won at Showdown stat does not define who are true winners in the game. It's all about making excellent reads and going...

Re: Is this a standard steal raise for you guys?
Well, to start with, knowing when to effectively steal raise is highly dependent on your read of BB. Having a good read gives you the ability to either lose less, or possibly win the hand.

Re: An Idea I\'ve Been Thinking About
Raising more preflop (depending on how much you raised before) is definitely important. Can't really comment more since you haven't shown your stats.
Going to showdown more is completely...
