Re: Poker Faces- David M. Hayano - Recommendation

If people are interested, I got my copy about 3 years ago at the Gamblers Book Store, used, for around 20 bucks. No idea if they have more copies kicking around.

I'm no expert at all, but I was...

Razz -- call on 3rd with a pair?

Playing 2-4 Razz online, 6 handed, ran into a new situation for me. Dealt (3,6)6. The other three 3s are all exposed as upcards. Bring in opens, raised to 2 by the first 3, next two players call...

Re: Wait, but... wha... huh? Hellmuth knowledge.

I think that from now on, anytime someone doesn't understand what David and Mason mean by "exploitable strategy," we should refer them to this beauty.

Can you say "all in with any two"?

Re: Where have all the soft games gone?

I suppose thats a good point. You'd think that with all those Indians working for Party customer support that some would start playing, but I guess not...

Re: Where have all the soft games gone?

The burdens of being a left-coaster I suppose. But there must be somewhere where games are good this time of day, no? I mean, the internet is worldwide...

Re: Where have all the soft games gone?

Because B&M 20-40/15-30 is where I'm on a 150BB downswing. Of course it's possible its just a bad run and I'm still playing my A game (I've had worse before, and know I can consistently beat that...

Where have all the soft games gone?

So I'm going through a truly awful streak right now, playing mostly B&M, and thought I'd drop down to the Party 3/6 to get my game back in gear. What happened to all the soft games? Not a single...

Re: PT DB full, now what?

So is there anything from stopping us from, say, trading data-mined databases? Make a 2+2 DB repository somewhere so we can all have super-data?

Poker Tracker auto-rate suggestions

Anyone have suggestions about different stat-ranges to use for the auto-rate feature? Anything that seems to have played out particularly accurately?

Party - 100 vs 200 SNGs

I've been winning consistently in Party's $100 SNGs and am thinking of stepping it up to the $200s. Is there much difference in the quality of play? Fewer total fish? More tricky players? Anything...

Party $100 vs $200 SNGs

I've won consistently in Party's $100 NL SNGs for a while now, and I'm just starting to step up to the $200s. Has anyone noticed any significant difference in the level of play? Do players get...

Stud 8 hand

I think I like the way I played this hand, esp 5th and 6th streets. Agree? Disagree? Should I bet 6th?

3rd Street: (1.33 SB) ...

Re: AQ the monster laydown

If the button has "crazy fish" in his notes too, he could be calling with any pair here (unlikely to have called on the flop though), or an A with a weaker kicker. (VERY possibly an A with weak...

Re: Your move?

You would smooth call the min-raise preflop? Why?

If you think theres a decent chance MP has AK, do you still agree with my check on the flop?

Your move?

$100 Party SNG, blinds still 10-15, all players involved have T1000, I have no reads on anyone yet. Four part question. I don't like how I played this at any stage.

UTG limps, UGT2 raises to 30,...

Re: High stakes in San Diego

I've never seen the Lucky Lady spread higher than 8-16, and I'm there a couple nights a week. You might be thinking of the Village Club in Chula Vista, which spreads a 20-40 HE and 8-16 Omaha, with...

Downtown Vegas Poker

Re: WPT on TV

I agree, simply because Hansen should know that Deeb knows that Hansen is overagressive; therefore Deeb will, having just induced a bluff, have to call a big bet on the river.

Of course if Deeb...

Re: WPT on TV

I agree on all the other analysis so far, but am I the only one who like's Deeb's play on the QQ vs 88 hand? With a flop of K77, Deeb's in a classic way ahead / way behind situation. Check-calling...

The only casino in the San Diego area that regularly spreads a game over 8-16 is Oceans 11 in Oceanside, about 30 mins or so from downtown SD. They have a regular 20-40 thats usually well propped...

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Bob Ciaffone's articles yet. Along with S/M, Briar and Cooke, I usually find his stuff to be must-read.

Also, since you asked, I believe CardPlayer publishes...
