Default San Diego Poker

I am moving to San Diego and would love all information I could find on the Texas Hold'em games (15-30 thru 40-80). From reading John Feeney's books I was under the impression that the action was booming out in San Diego, but recently it seems like everyone says there is nothing consistent above a 9/18 game. What is the real story, and how close are the casino's to city? Thanks in advance for any info.

The only casino in the San Diego area that regularly spreads a game over 8-16 is Oceans 11 in Oceanside, about 30 mins or so from downtown SD. They have a regular 20-40 thats usually well propped up, and occasionally a 40-80.

Just got back from SD and found that the Indian Casinos only spread up to 8-16 w/ a full kill. as has already been stated, O11 seems to be the only room that regularly spreads mid limit games. I played in it early sunday morning for a couple of hours before heading to the airport and found that it was a great game with a bunch of gamblers. Not sure how it is at other times, but it was a rockin' and rollin' game with two or three players (out of six or seven) who always saw the flop.

South of SD in Chula Vista - The Village Club - has a regular 30-60 kill holdem game that is wild. Oceans 11 does the 20-40 kill, most others are 8-16kill (not 9-18)...Viejas (Alpine), Lucky Lady (Closer to Downtown)

Oceans 11 is the place to play in the SD area. Well run room, clean, great food also.
