Razz -- call on 3rd with a pair?
Playing 2-4 Razz online, 6 handed, ran into a new situation for me. Dealt (3,6)6. The other three 3s are all exposed as upcards. Bring in opens, raised to 2 by the first 3, next two players call the raise, me to act with the last 3 behind me. Call or no?
I folded, and I think it's probably right with so many opponents in, but I've never run into one like this before, where I've got a strong two card hand and so unlikely to pair. But I suppose theyre just as unlikely to pair too... |

Re: Razz -- call on 3rd with a pair?
when you have a two card hand and your opponents have a three card hand, you are at a gigantic disadvantage. compare the difference between the possible number of six card razz hands and seven card razz habnds- the ratio is your disadvantage.
this is mostly speculation, i only rarely dabble in razz, but that's what i'd think. maybe AA2 or A22... maybe. |

maybe AA2 or A22... maybe. [/ QUOTE ] Like, not even. You can't be playing pairs. Get Sklansky on Poker. |

These hands are only good for one thing...stealing. I'd never get involved with them in a multi-way pot, unless I was just giving away money.
